  Food was pretty bad. Please pass on the fried shrimp! It was horrible and the waitress confirmed that it's frozen. The only good thing was the chicken on my appetizer platter. Left most of the rest. My daughter's said her gumbo tasted good but it looked like half of it sloshed out before the waitress made it to our table. It was a mess and not much in it. Was also charged an extra $2 on a $10 drink that said it included cream. Just a bad experience overall. Will definitely not be able to get my parents back to one on the future after this experience.

  Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. delivers the kind of experience you expect from a large themed chain, but in this case the food was noticeably subpar. The dishes were edible but underwhelming, lacking flavor and feeling more mass produced than freshly prepared. For a restaurant centered entirely around seafood, the execution did not justify the price, and nothing on the table stood out as memorable or particularly well done. Service was fine but unremarkable, and the atmosphere leans heavily on branding rather than substance. It is more about the theme than the food. Overall, it functions as a predictable, tourist friendly stop, but Gatlinburg has far better local options. If food quality is the priority, this is an easy place to pass.

  Giving this place a 3. The food was awesome. My husband and child loved their food. The only problem that we had was the server. Let me just start from the beginning. She came over and introduced herself(I forget what her name was) she asked us if we ever been here and I said no but my husband said yes. Then she proceeded to ask me what was forest gumps jersey number was and I said idk 🤷. I was ether to tell us but she just said that we haven’t watch the movie enough. She got our drinks. Then we were ready to order and it took her a while to take it. We have been there probably 20 mins before we order. We give her the order finally and I order a drink from the bar. It took another 20 mins to get that drink. And she said she forgot about it. Which ya know is something you shouldn’t say about tell your guess( both my husband and I are in the restaurant business). Anyways got our food after a while I stopped timing it by then. She came over and said something along the lines of I forgot to check on yall how is everything, we were missing our meatballs for our kid. So after we were done eating we wanted dessert,they were out of the chocolate lava stuff. And we told her that we needed a min to look at the menu to see what we could get and we were going to ask her when she came back if there was any nuts on anything and when she came back she just dropped off the check and like ran off!!!!! And that when my husband had enough!! We got the manger who was so nice and helpful. We weren’t looking for anything but maybe help us understand why we got bad service tonight. The table who had left seating behind us left and she was cleaning it shaking her HEAD!!!!! Like what! How unprofessional is that and she was banging everything! we tipped her very low, we normally ever do that but that sever was not good! Sorry for how long this was there more but to much to type out. Will come back though great food!!!! Great hostess

  Unfortunately, our experience at Bubba Gump was extremely disappointing, especially on Christmas. We waited 40 minutes for our food. Being busy on Christmas may be normal, but receiving the wrong dish is not. When the food finally arrived, the salmon was dry, hard, and not juicy at all. My child refused to eat it, and the kids were already exhausted from waiting. What made the situation much worse was the manager’s attitude. She stared at us in a mocking way and showed no concern about improving our experience. At no point did she demonstrate empathy or professionalism. I explained that I do not speak English fluently, and her response was: “But you are talking to me.” This was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate, especially in a tourist area that serves people from all over the world. When I said it would be our first and last visit, her response was simply: “Ok.” A manager who does not care about customer experience, does not try to resolve issues, and treats guests this way should not be in that position. This experience ruined our Christmas, and we left very disappointed.

  During my visit to Galimbur, I decided to have dinner at Bubba Gump, mainly because I’m a big fan of Forrest Gump and have watched the movie many times. We arrived around 7:00 pm and the restaurant was quite busy. While waiting for our table, we explored the gift shop located downstairs, which has a great selection of themed items and really sets the Forrest Gump vibe from the start. Once seated, my companion ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was delicious and tasted very fresh. I ordered the BBQ pork ribs, and they were excellent very tender, full of flavor, and well served with fries. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was fast and efficient The place is filled with Forrest Gump memorabilia, making the atmosphere fun and immersive. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Good food, great theme, quick service, and reasonable prices. A solid option if you’re visiting Galimbur, especially if you’re a Forrest Gump fan.
