- MVMelchor Vega3 days ago1.0Got a lakefront Airbnb in that area, and was searching for Mexican food around the area. I came across this restaurant. The food looked good in the pictures and reviews look good. Well unfortunately for me and 15 other family members, had the worst experience ever. We were greeted and seated right away, got us chips and salsa, which was a good start. The. We put our drink order in, well we waited for almost 45 mins. Then we were needing napkins to wipe our mouths and hands, since I didn't see any napkin dispenser. I ask the manager if we could get napkins. This guy has the audacity to bring me two napkins for a table of 15 people. I didn't want to say anything, so me being me, I told everyone at my table to pass the napkins around since that's all they gave us to begin with. Within those 45 mins that we were waiting for our drinks turned into an hour, before they could take our food order. That being said, that they weren't even busy. Oh an the manager over heard what I said about the napkins, he still has the audacity to bring me 4 napkins. Now at this point im already mad but I kept my cool and ordered. I ordered the Pollo Mexicano. I should say that was the most disappointing meal ever. They gave me 2 ham slice chicken breast, with a whole onion and about 5 peppers, because it was more veggies than meat. It was a very disappointing meal. To also make things our server gave us a gratitude of 25%. Which was unnecessary due to the fact she took forever with our drinks and food, and to top it off, messed up a couple orders. Overall experience was disappointing and pathetic. For the manager, please invest in some napkin dispensers, at least to start with that.

The waitress mistakenly brought out shrimp tacos instead of chicken. The owner was quick to help. Thankfully, my mom didn't have as bad of a reaction like how she used to. They comped her dish and remade it and sat with her while I ran to food city nextdoor to get her Benadryl. Mistakes happen, and my mom is okay just had to rest for the day but the food was still amazing and the way the staff handled the situation was amazing. Mom was also raving about how good that taco was before she realized lol. We plan to go back.

I'm not sure if there's new management or what, but it has completely gone to crap! Food has NO flavor, service is literally worried about tips(watching them clean tables as we are asking for water and chips for our spinach dip which is literally the ONLY thing my son will eat), this place has literally gonna extremely down hill!

From the moment we were sat down our server catered to us. There was about 9 of us there. Food cane out promptly, it all tasted great as was expected considering I eat here myself pretty often. The manager was such a doll. He brought us dessert on the house after our dinner. He accomodated us to no end. This was about a month ago and I hate it I am late replying. Family issues have taken my time up. I do hope our server and manager knows just how much we appreciate being treated so well. I have always had my preference in Mexican restaurants and it had been only one I would give a 10. However.. this place would get a 10 as well. The chips here are thin and crispy! I have never had any anywhere this delicious! The salsa, cheese dip was excellent as well. I will be back in there soon. If you are thinking about going for a meal, think no longer!
