Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Absolutely slow service. The restaurant itself sits in a dangerous location. Was robbed at gun point in the drive thru no one did nothing not even called the police.

Great service and Southern hospitality. The new manager was amazing! I'll definitely keep visiting this location during my stay here in Memphis.

Megan, the manager, was incredible. I can’t remember the last time / if ever I received such great customer service at a fast food place.

Meh. That's all I've got. It wasn't awful, but I would literally never think to myself "I really want whataburger!" I'd eat it if I had no other options. The cashier was super friendly. There was one guy in the restaurant besides us. My mom and I ordered about 6:45 and didn't get our food until about 20 minutes later. 2 burgers, 2 fries. The cashier did apologize and asked if there was anything she could get us. She told us there was a huge to go order that came in and causing the delay for our food.

I want to start off with this is a review not based off of Whataburger as a company but as the staff for the night of 01/21/26! Let me tell you when starting off a new year you want to be fresh. You want your best people and rotate bad performers and negativity out! I can 10000% say this location did not do that! I am a continuous customer that comes for the same thing every time and I never complain. Even when I have something to complain about I grit my teeth but it took everything in me not to get out of line TWICE and go to another spot to eat. THAT’S how much I love this place. When I got to the speaker I didn’t hear her ask for a name because they normally ask at the end. So when I started my order with “Can I get a number 14” only to be cut off by her saying “Can I get a name?” In a condescending attitude clearly mocking me. Still I apologized and gave her my name and continued my order. Keep in mind I was at the passenger side so it could be she didn’t hear me but when I went to telling her my sauce and drink she cut me off yet again saying “You need to speak up. I can’t hear you.” Again with a condescending tone of voice. AGAIN, I apologized and spoke louder, trying not to yell because I didn’t want to give the misrepresentation of an attitude on my side. After waiting in line she did not greet us at the window, give my drink, or even take my payment for 5 MINUTES…then when getting to the window she asked for the name. I gave it to her twice as my mother had her card handing it towards her as the lady looked at us blind in the face. She proceeded to say “I asked for your name.” While raising her voice leading to my mom giving a snarky look at me asking under her breath to me “are you sure you wanna eat here? We can just go somewhere else.” Me being hard in my ways though, I preferred since we already waited and it was midnight that I wanted to eat here I just grit my teeth about it. I gave her my name once again only for her to sigh heavily and grab the tap to pay option instead of just taking my mom’s card and muttering loud enough for us to hear AS HER MANAGER STOOD RIGHT BEHIND HER STARING BEFORE GOING BACK TO COOK, “I don’t have time for nobody’s attitudes tonight. I asked for your name and you ain’t say nun.” At that point with all my patience withered it was by the grace of god that the reader already accepted my payment because I would’ve left and never came back. I have never been in such an environment and treated this way just because that woman doesn’t wanna work. I didn’t catch her name but management if you read this it was on 01/21/26 12:15AM. The manager was a skinny white man looked to be in his younger to mid 20s. If I see either of them on the shift guaranteed I’ll NEVER be eating when they’re here. I never wish anyone to lose their jobs especially in this economy BUT PLEASE whataburger be careful who you employ because if I were anyone else she wouldn’t 1000000% gotten cussed out. If management to reach back out to me that’d be great thanks!!
