I hate to leave a review like this, but my experience at the Highway 58 Taco Bell was extremely frustrating. I placed a mobile order ahead of time, expecting it to be ready or at least close by the time I arrived—but instead, I ended up waiting nearly an hour.
I really tried to be patient, but it was difficult, especially since multiple other customers were also complaining about long wait times and confusion with orders. There didn’t seem to be any clear communication or urgency from the staff, and during the entire time I was there, I didn’t hear a single apology given to any customer.
I spoke with the manager about the situation, and the interaction only made things worse. She refused to give me her name and didn’t offer even a simple apology for the delay. When I brought that up, she said I “didn’t give her a chance,” even though she never attempted to apologize in the first place. She said she "didn't know what time I had gotten there." When she clearly got a copy of my receipt because they apparently lost my order. Her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive the entire time.
There was also a young employee monitoring the pickup area who was completely out of line. He made a customer pay for three cups of water before realizing they were just water cups, and he was very rude to her when she questioned it. The situation escalated further when the same customer had to demand two separate refunds after being wrongly charged. After waiting around 30 minutes, she ended up leaving without any food at all, clearly frustrated.
To make matters worse, when I finally received my order, everything was crammed into one bag to the point that it ripped open, and I almost dropped my food on the ground.
The food itself was fine, but the overall experience was not. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and long wait completely defeated the purpose of placing a mobile order. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location and will instead go out of my way to visit a Taco Bell with better leadership and more positive employees.
Just a terrible experience all around. If I could give negative stars, I would. As someone who has spent over 11 years managing in customer service, I would never be that way with customers. Pease teach these managers how to manage effectively and be leaders.
Kindness costs nothing.
