So I ordered them both to go. I can only give the food 5/10. The flan had a wonderfully rich caramel flavor and was very creamy. However, it seemed to have a very thick, almost tough, skin on the bottom. And I was not impressed in the least with the churros. Temperature wise they were warm at best after only walking 150 feet to the truck. The inside texture was grainy and gritty and it reminded me of a cheap store-bought item that had been pulled from the freezer and warmed slightly in the oven. Now, I will admit that I am a churros snob. When you’ve had churros that you watched Abuela drop into the grease and then pull them out and cover them in cinnamon sugar so fast that a portion of the sugar almost caramelizes, it’s hard to accept anything less. The bathroom was very clean, well stocked and decorated nicely. The staff was polite and helpful. I think I’m going to go back and order a full meal instead of just dessert to go. I think I may skip dessert next time.
