Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times, especially in the drive-thru, with some experiences exceeding 30 minutes.
Order Accuracy
There were numerous complaints about incorrect orders and missing items, leading to customer frustration.
Food Quality
While many customers praised the taste of the food, there were also reports of cold or poorly prepared items, such as burnt buns and stale fries.
Cleanliness
Several reviews mentioned dirty tables and unsanitary conditions, particularly in the bathrooms.
Customer Service
Feedback on staff behavior was mixed; some customers highlighted friendly service, while others reported rudeness and unprofessionalism.

Other than a slight hiccup in the drive thru and having to come back to the store, they were very accommodating. Being nice and respectful goes a very long way!! Thank you all for your help getting this fixed, I appreciate you all!

Call to let the manager know that soda machine was out of a certain type of soda, I wasn’t upset about it at all I know things happen but the nonchalant attitude is what got me, no matter what the situation/circumstances are the customer is always right I wasn’t asking nor expecting anything in return but the fact that they knew the machine was out they could’ve told me when I got to the window, “hey we are out of that drink is there another you would like?” Instead you gave me cup of fluid with no flavor she was clearly upset about it but goes to say the truck was late that’s understandable but a flavorless drink is not.

The food was good, but it’s definitely overpriced. I’m really not a fan of being nickel-and-dimed charging 60 cents for a slice of cheese on a $9 sandwich feels excessive. By the time you add a drink and fries, it’s around $15, which just seems too high for what you get. That said, the staff was great very friendly and accommodating, which I really appreciated.

I cant go to this place and get reasonable service ever. Even if I'm the only person in the drive thru I wait 10 minutes minimum. Wanted just to order a milkshake and there were 2 cars in line. I waited 6 minute and no one even took my order. I wouldn't complain if this didn't happen every time decide to try consistently one of the worst fast food experiences I have. Foods been wrong plenty of times too. I was super excited to get whataburger now I won't even order from them
