I have had several better sandwiches than Hattie’s, but they are usually in boutique restaurants that are very expensive. Hangry Joe’s is a GREAT hot chicken sandwich. I went with medium heat. It is very lightly breaded with a beautiful blend of spices. Then add a fantastic sauce on top plus two pickles. A++ Extra bonus, their seasoned fries were amazing and they have incredible fried okra!!! I highly recommend you check this place out. Summary: better than Hattie B’s and Prince’s.

(Didn't feel like having spicy first thing in the morning) the pickles looked and tasted homemade, the chicken has what tastes like a dry rub on it and it is fantastic! The flavor profile is complex and layered. It is so good! The coleslaw and pickles all come together to make the best chicken sandwich I've had. I can tell the spicy is even better. The Pepsi was nice and tasted fresh and like the machine was actually kept clean. The waffle fries had a nice seasoning on it that wasn't overwhelming and didn't overshadow the chicken while still being delicious. The sauce they gave me was really good too. Every single part of this meal here tasted like it was made with genuine love of the process of making good food. It was truly amazing and I would absolutely go out of my way to come here again. I was craving chicken and it slapped hard!
