Their WIC system wasn’t working so I told her I would just purchase the items not on WIC and they could void off the WIC items. They were very busy and this lady is visibly getting frustrated which is fine until she starts treating me like I’m the problem. She couldn’t comprehend that I still want to purchase my non WIC items. She was actually pissed that she still had to deal with me, mind you it’s not MY fault their system isn’t working. So she calls over another cashier and very loudly states “I don’t know what she wants” waving at me like I’m an issue and then runs off to the “bathroom”. I’m still there when she gets back because the new cashier (who was nice) decided to try and see if she could get the WIC to work before just running my regular items. When the first cashier comes back she starts whispering about me to the current cashier like I’m not standing there and can’t see and hear her. It was just very poor customer service. And mind you I was not a “karen”. I kept my cool throughout the whole situation regardless of her incompetence and rudeness. I refused to be embarrassed by a representative that decided to take their frustrations out on a customer. It sucks because this was my favorite grocery store and now I have to limit how often I go there because rude people are one of my biggest pet peeves and I literally did absolutely nothing to warrant that type of service.
