Shortly after being sat, the owner came in and personally thanked each of us for coming in and gave a great speech about how we’ve contributed to their success which I thought was super cool. We found out they bought out a new building and are planning on expanding soon which is so exciting! In case you didn’t know she has a beautiful voice and we were able to hear it that night. We got the delicious garlic and tomato rice accompanied by delicious skewers of meat and my all time favorite is the crispy pork belly app. It was the perfect amount of food and good service. The place itself is cozy and heartfelt, they make you feel like family. Can’t wait for the new location!

We wanted to try the Japanese wagyu, they over cooked it and put an awful sauce on it. what a way to enjoy one of the most expensive steaks in the world.....terrible.

Fast forward several years to when M & J discover Yakitori and decided to be the first to bring the taste to the Charleston area Lowcountry; more success. My wife and I have eaten many pizzas and most of the items on the Yakitori menu; we’ve never had less than a delightful meal! You can pay a lot more for a meal, served (?) at several fancy area restaurants, most don’t come anywhere near to the wonderful experience these two dear friends provide!!!

And the food, the food will speak for itself. If you're a fan of Japanese food / yakitori, this is a must try. Can't wait for the new location!
