Lately, though, the atmosphere at-the-register experience has become really unpleasant. Several evenings in a row I’ve had to stand in line listening to employees loudly gossiping and trash-talking people they know (customers, former coworkers, whoever). It’s negative, personal, and loud enough that the whole front end can hear it. It makes shopping here feel awkward and uncomfortable. I don’t want to listen to that kind of drama while I’m just trying to buy groceries. Until the staff is reminded to keep personal conversations private and professional, I’ll unfortunately be taking my business (and my weekly grocery budget) to Harris Teeter or Publix down the road. Really disappointing, because I used to love this store.
