Honestly, this was one of the worst Chipotle experiences I’ve had. The whole place just felt off—kind of messy, kind of chaotic. The employees didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, and it showed. My bowl was thrown together like they were in a rush to get rid of me, and the portions were weak compared to what you’d expect.
The food itself wasn’t great either. The rice was still a little hard, the meat was dry, and everything just tasted… off. Not fresh, not flavorful, just disappointing. I ended up barely finishing it.
For the price, you expect at least decent quality, but this just didn’t hit the mark at all. Definitely not worth it, and I probably won’t be back to this location.

Ordered a bowl and had to ask for fresh meat! The server was the worst. Impatient, rude and cheap! Worst bowl ever. I guess I'll drive further to get better service and better bowl.

I don't do too many reviews but I have only had good experiences at this Chipotle. Ordered through the Chipotlane maybe 4 or 5 times now... these guys get it right everytime. I just now saw the negative reviews and honestly can't believe it. They are very generous with the portions. One time that there was a backup (about 15 minute wait) they nicely asked me to drive back around the Chipotlane and had my order ready to go. My orders have always been fresh and sorry to see others haven't had the best experience. I'm just stating my experience. Haven't been inside. Cheers!

I seriously rarely leave reviews, but I found it hard to not leave one for this experience. I don’t know if Chipotles in other areas are ran well, but the ones around the Lowcountry are ran terribly. I had high hopes that the one that just opened at Carnes would be better, but after picking up my daughter‘s burrito last night, it definitely is not. I ordered in the app and when I went inside to get it, it was not in the window, which is not a big deal cause they could’ve still been making it. The guy at the counter asked what my name was and he went to the back and came back with a bag immediately. Not really sure why it was sitting back there when it obviously was ready. I looked around the place and cannot believe how dirty it was. For 1. it’s a new restaurant and 2. to have as many employees as they had working that were standing around doing jack crap. The floors were dirty and the counters where they make the food were covered in food bits. Nobody was keeping things cleaned up or wiped down all around the register and counters, you could tell nobody lifts a finger to clean up anything. They’re building another new one on Nexton Parkway and I’m afraid it’s probably gonna be the same because it seems whoever is managing these local Chipotles, they are not doing anything to ensure that the people they hire are worth a crap. And that whoever is running them, is keeping their employees in check and making them actually earn their paychecks. I get that it’s harder and harder to find people who actually have a work ethic, but any other restaurant around this same area, they’re able to keep a clean restaurant, good food, and good service. When I got home with my daughter‘s burrito and she started eating it, she said mom there’s like literally hardly any meat in this at all. I looked at it because she couldn’t even finish eating it, and it was really just mostly rice. There truly was hardly anything in it. For 11 freaking dollars for a burrito that’s ridiculous. And also, the restaurant was out of lettuce. How the heck do you run out of lettuce at Chipotle?

Skip this location and go to the St. James Chipotle instead.
This was our third time trying this store, hoping it would be better, but it was actually worse than the previous visits. Every time we walk in, the employees look completely miserable and the atmosphere feels very unwelcoming.
Tonight’s experience really sealed it for us. The employee (older lady) serving us didn’t greet us at all and the interaction felt very awkward and unfriendly. She told us there was no white rice available, yet the customer directly behind us was given white rice after another employee went to the drive-thru line to get it.
When it came time to add chicken to my bowl, she literally scraped the bottom of the pan to collect small crumbs to put in my bowl. Meanwhile, there was clearly more chicken available on the drive-thru line and fresh chicken being cut in the kitchen. The chicken I received looked old and like it had been sitting there for a while.
We paid over $40 for two bowls, and they were the smallest portions we have ever been served at any Chipotle. My husband even paid for extra meat, which made it even more frustrating.
At this point, after three disappointing visits, we won’t be returning to this location. If you want decent portions, fresh food and better service, do yourself a favor and go to the St. James location instead.
