I usually go to self checkout but saw there were like 3 lanes open with young teenagers waiting to check people out. I approached one lane and normally you are greeting or a smile or something. A young man went behind the register as I sat my items down to be scanned. No greeting, no smile, nothing. Ok... maybe not having a good day, I get it. I've had similar experiences but even if they don't talk, I atleast am told the total, something. This kid literally said nothing to me the entire time. I thought maybe at the end he would say have a good day or something. Literally no words, no facial expressions... nothing. It honestly was the most awkward check out experience I have ever had in my life and I'm 38! Lol. Just a heads up that maybe this kid should be stocking shelves instead of "customer service" because it made me feel super uncomfortable and felt like I was inconveniencing him to ring up 4 items I was purchasing. I did check his name tag before leaving, his name was Malachi I believe is how it was spelled. May want to address this with this young man as of this is how he is "interacting" with all customers... it's just not a good look at all.

IDK where the closest family owned spot is or of there even is one in RH so I settle for this place...To be I hate just about every big grocery store chain, Food Lion included....except this one Food Lion store!! It is the only store in town of it's kind that I don't absolutely hate!!

Yuck!
