We really really wanted to like this place. Its a stunning restaurant with great atmosphere and great presentation but the food was not great. Everything was fresh but flavors didnt mess well together, it was like a lot of fusion stuff that wasn't executed well. We won't be back unfortunately.

I told the hostess we were going to happy hour, so she sent us up to the 3rd level patio. (This was my first time there. ) The bartender asked if we wanted to sit at the bar or a table. I said table, not knowing happy hour was available only at the bar. I was told I needed to go back down to the hostess to get a table. Did that, and told her we were sent back down, but we're there for HH. She told us to go back to and take a seat at the bar! Would have been helpful if the bartender told us that. Then found out drinks only apply to HH, no food. AND if you go for HH at the bar, don't sit facing the windows, because as the sun sets, it's blinding!

We went for dinner and music bingo we had a wonderful time . The food and drinks were good I didn't like that such a nice restaurant uses bagged French fries but the deck overlooking the intercoastal water was great .

As a local, I truly wanted to love this restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, and it seemed like the perfect place to bring family and friends or recommend to guests who rent with us. We chose to celebrate my birthday here, which made the experience especially disappointing.
The calamari was enjoyable, and I’m glad we requested the sauces on the side. Unfortunately, the lobster mac and cheese was not well executed — it was very runny and almost soup-like in consistency. The lobster itself was tough and rubbery, and there were several shell fragments in the dish, which made it difficult to enjoy. The shrimp and grits were acceptable but not particularly memorable.
Given the restaurant’s upscale presentation and pricing, we expected a much higher level of food quality and attention to detail. The service also fell short of expectations. Despite the dining room being relatively quiet (only a few tables were occupied), our server was unfriendly and inattentive. Our drinks remained empty for much of the meal until we were able to get their attention, and when the check was brought, we were not offered a box even though half of a meal remained on the plate.
This restaurant has a stunning space and clearly aims to provide an elevated dining experience, which made the disconnect between the ambiance, service, and food quality particularly disappointing.
Our new organization had an outstanding Happy Hour from 4-6pm for about 15 of us 2 weeks ago. Jaxson Wheeler was a great help working with me in selecting "The Nest" as the perfect space and for our group. It was a small room with lots of windows, couches and large cocktail tables. Our server, Brookelynn was very accommodating to my set-up requests and then took great care with our Big Chill "Happy Hour" cocktails ... which were well-received!!! Laurie (Lorie), the floor manager, was also attentive and supportive of our event.
Our 2 hours there were a great success as we mixed and mingled with new acquaintances and shared our common values. It was a great Happy Hour and the Big Chill Ocean House staff made it a success. Many thanks, Jane S
PS Several of our women stayed for dinner afterwards!
