You’re Better off going to Cookout if you want pulled pork. The food was horrible and bland. Pasta salad was so hot it was like eating Mac and cheese. The pineapple was the best part. Service was terrible. They also ran out of food and decided to tell us he people that ordered fish and chips they needed to order something else when the food was delivered. Who does that? Our server could give two craps about our table of 16. She was not attentive and blamed it on being understaffed. Not recommended. Go somewhere else. The place looked nice at least. Maybe they should invest more in staffing over the decorations.

If you’re looking for amazing drinks and unforgettable service, Big Chill Island House is the place to be! The bartenders Coley and Melissa (Melly) absolutely made our experience. From the moment we sat down, they were warm, welcoming, and full of great energy.
Coley mixes a drink like a true pro—perfect balance, super knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation. Melly brings the vibe with her personality, quick service, and genuine friendliness. Together, they create the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more.”
Their attention to detail, great conversation, and consistently top-tier cocktails made our visit stand out. Big Chill is lucky to have them, and we’ll definitely be back because of the service they deliver.
Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Coley and Melly—you won’t be disappointed! 🍹🌴

With the number of places to eat in North Myrtle Beach, there is only one reason to go to Big Chill, and that's the view from the upstairs bar and deck. The food here is overpriced and takes forever to come out of the kitchen. Drinks are watered down. Last night my wife and I had to order shots of vodka to put into our drinks, because they were so weak. We ordered nachos, which don't resemble nachos that we've gotten anywhere else, and a tuna poke bowl which was okay but small. With our one drink each, plus the shots, we walked out $90 lighter. For that money, we could have had a full meal of much better food at many local places.

Celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary this past weekend, we booked reservations at Big Chill Island House at Barefoot in N. Myrtle Beach SC. Having never been, I made Reservations online to ensure we could get a good table with a Sunset view on a Saturday night. We arrived early and strolled the waterway, then sat to enjoy a few drinks at their outdoor bar with the most Vivacious Bartender, listened to a great Live Band and watched the cutest Older Couple dance to every tune. The ambience of Big Chill Island House does not disappoint, 3 tiers of beautiful terraces. Starting with Fire burning venue on the waterway, Enchanting mid-level deck amid the big tree, perfectly lit with string lights. As well as the top veranda, with various seating options for any occasion. We made our way inside for our reservation, not only did they make sure we had a top level view for the Sunset, we were greeted by the Owner, Manager & Amazing Waiter. They personally came over to wish us a Happy Anniversary with a complimentary glass of Champagne and included us in their Nightly Sunset Toast. Thank you for making our evening so Special! With great views, service, drinks & food, Big Chill Island is a must when we visit SC ❤️

We had Brooklyn as our service she was absolutely amazing. There was a problem with my salad, she immediately took it away the salad and brought out a new one quickly. She was very apologetic and made sure it was fixed immediately. It was our two year anniversary and one of the servers Wes made sure to congratulate us and made our dinner special. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the low country pasta and a street corn salad with grilled chicken. We would definitely bring our friends and family here. We also tired the key lime pie and chocolate mousse. Both were very tasty. Would absolutely come back if not only for the food but the absolutely amazing friendly and courteous staff. The restaurant was also beautiful, and very clean.
