What a great place to eat! I’ve been a few times, and it’s always good. The place is beautiful, and the outdoor seating is perfection. You can enjoy your meal overlooking the waterway! I’ve had the fish and chips, and the pimento cheese chicken club. Both were very good. The tuna poke bowl looked delicious as well, and my son said it was so good! Whether you’re spending the day at Barefoot Landing or just looking for a great place to eat in North Myrtle Beach, this is a great spot!
My wife Helen and I went here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. She is usually very particular about where we go to eat and I was initially worried about how she would like the meal. However, upon our arrival we were put at a table with a server named Ginger who immediately made us feel at home. She was attentive, personable, quick, and very endearing. We ordered the fish and chips and the low country pasta and they arrived very quickly. Both were phenomenal. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant or our server more. Helen and I will be back every year for our anniversary and we hope we can have Ginger every time.

Great place to go and see. My husband and I went there a few weeks after our wedding. It was really n8ce and decorated for Christmas. We loved the Big Chill Salad with grilled chicken. The East Side Cider was very good and had a nice crisp pineapple taste. The prices are a little high but great for a one time tey for us. My husband loved seeing the kittens playing on the back deck. We miss ours so much and loved to see the 3 out there playing. The rooftop bar was very nice and spacious as well with great views of the ICW.

I’ll try to keep this short…
If you read this and care to try it, make a reservation! We arrived at 5:30 on a Monday during the off season (12/29) and were told we could not be seated unless we sat in the bar, the bar only had one table and two or three at the actual bar so we chose the bar option.
We had to wait about 30 minutes after being seated to ask for our drinks, it then took an additional 20 minutes for us to receive the drinks (2 beers, the rest were waters, teas and a soda). After receiving drinks, it took around 30 mins for the server to return to ask for dinner. (If you’re keeping up, we are at an hour and 20 minutes before ordering the food).
Now about the food….when you look this place up online, the food looks rather enticing but it is NOT what you get. I repeat, it is NOT what you get. I ordered the fish sandwich with fries, the wife ordered salmon and our child ordered the kid’s pasta. My sandwich would’ve tasted better from McDonald’s and the fries were cold and looked to be knock-off brand Ore-ida cooked in an oven, not fried. My son’s pasta was cold with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. The wife’s salmon was very mid and slightly cold as well. To track the amount of time it took to get the food, we arrived at 5:30 and left at 8:15. Probably took us longer to receive our check than it did to actually eat the food so we waited a good amount of time.
The two positives to this place are the crab hushpuppies and the atmosphere. We wanted to like this place but it fell extremely short . So short that I doubt we will ever try this again unless they advertise being under new management. Looks like it has great potential so I’m sure the management is falling short somewhere.

Let me start this review by saying the ONLY reason I’m giving service 5 stars is because our server Abby A. was phenomenal; the hostess was HORRIBLE and we should have left.
We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and arrived a little after 6:30. Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I’m meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren’t checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn’t a table ready and we’d have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn’t for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would’ve been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A.
I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn’t get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn’t try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren’t worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal…thinner that McDonald’s! She didn’t even want to eat the burger “slice”.
The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn’t kept checking back, I don’t think we would’ve been seated for a while. I could’ve spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.
