  We went last night and sat on the outside deck with our puppy and it was the absolute best time!! We debated after, saying this might have been our favorite night out together we had ever had. We ordered the Island Salmon and then the Hawaiian Pork with extra pineapple and it was delicious. The pork was definitely our favorite, but the salmon was also very wonderful! The highlight of our experience though was our Server. Her name was Sage D and she was just awesome! She was very accommodating with our order, brought our pup some water and a dab of whipped cream, and chatted with us, answering all of our questions so kindly. She was just such a joy and we will DEFINITELY be coming back and asking to be sat in her section again. We’ll definitely be recommending to our friends and family too. Also, the views were amazing too :)

  We hosted a private business event at Big Chill Island House and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The booking process with Aliza was seamless—she was incredibly responsive, thorough, and made everything easy to coordinate. She answered all of our questions and provided great options for the space that really helped us create the flow we were looking for. The night of the event, Kristine and the team took excellent care of us. The service was attentive, organized, and consistent throughout the evening, which made it easy for us to focus on our guests and enjoy the experience. The space itself was perfect for a mix of networking and dinner, and everything came together exactly how we envisioned. Highly recommend for anyone looking to host a private event or group gathering in the area.

  We were incredibly surprised by the atmosphere and delicious food at Big Chill Island House! When looking for a place to go out to eat for a date, everywhere we looked was $45 or more per plate and were mostly steakhouses. Big Chill had many different options at very reasonable prices and everything that we had was delicious! For drinks, we ordered a Sunset Margarita and a “No Pain” mocktail. For an appetizer, we ate off of the specials menu and ordered the Pimento on the Green. For dinner, we had the Island Salmon and the Hook & Slice (a meal from Scottie Scheffler’s Masters Championship Dinner). Both were extremely good! Jacob, our server, was awesome - quick, continuous service and he made excellent recommendations to ensure we had a great experience! We would highly recommend this restaurant for a couple looking for a date night or even a family wanting a nice meal together!

  Best restaurant in North Myrtle Beach! We have been going to North Myrtle Beach for over 25 years multiple times a year and eaten at almost every restaurant. The Big Chill has been our favorite restaurant in all the years. The atmosphere is beautiful with plenty of room and both indoor and outdoor seating on the Intercoastal Waterway. Brookeylon was our server and FANTASTIC. She took the time to talk to us about the menu. She was extremely personal and very attentive with the service always making sure drinks were full and checked on us multiple times. The manager came by as well to ask about our meal. Brookeylon was so nice when I split a cup of water all over table We ordered the Hot Honey chicken wings. They were huge and had lots of meat and the most delicious wings my husband and I both have had. We both ordered the Big Chill salad. I didn't get a protein but my husband got fried chicken. Brookeylon was great putting some of the ingredients on the side. I have several allergies (seafood, gluten, peanuts and treenuts). The menu clearly indicated the allergens in each time. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We will be back on every trip to Myrtle Beach and bring other family members with us. We did not order alcoholic drinks but there is a huge selection if you wish to order any.

  I'm surprised by the 4.2 rating (as of 4-15-26) because this spot hits plenty of 5s, particularly amongst the frequently generic and mid Barefoot Landing selections. The food is a solid 3 stars, a bit better than average. Hush puppies w mango butter for the win, but you can skip the undersized and chewy Fish and Chips. That said, the aesthetic and airy tropical vibes elevate Big Chill to 5 stars despite above avg food. And the staff are all very friendly. Bonus points for good cocktails and the dedicated bars (main level and upstairs). Happy Hour until 6 or 7, notably a few select cocktails are $2 off, and some fairly tasty apps. Space looks like it can accommodate large groups and small, but even for just drinks, the back yard along the intercoastal is spacious for a group of golf buddies or families. Live music on some nights, no charge. Overall, it's become one of our more reliably favorite places in North Myrtle, and especially at Barefoot Landing.
