- SHShakarra HewttleJan 28, 20261.0Lord knows I have been shopping at this Food Lion for 4 years, and over the last 2 years this store has completely fallen off.Let’s start with the cashiers most of them don’t speak, don’t greet customers, and show little to no customer service. On top of that, the actual customer service desk always seems to be closed when it’s needed. I constantly have to bring items back because they are outdated. It’s gotten to the point where I’m just waiting for the day someone gets sick from the lack of proper date checking. That’s unacceptable for a grocery store. One experience that really crossed the line was when a cashier addressed my son in an inappropriate manner. That should never happen, especially with a child. Another time, I asked a cashier where an item was located, and her response was, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what that is,” with zero effort to help or find someone who could. That level of non-assistance is frustrating when you’re just trying to shop. The only noticeable improvement has been in the produce section and that only seemed to happen after I contacted corporate and went viral about the condition of the produce. It shouldn’t take public embarrassment for a store to maintain basic standards. I absolutely dislike shopping at this location now, which is disappointing because I used to rely on this store regularly. Serious changes in customer service, staff training, and product quality control are needed.
