This evening, I placed an online order for a Cali Breakfast wrap for myself and an All American Wrap for my daughter. I brought the food home, bit into the Cali wrap and immediately tasted what I recognized as a spoiled milk product. I drove back to the restaurant to return the wrap. However, one of the front counter employees, a dark-haired girl, who is always particularly unfriendly, immediately launched into an interrogation into the validity of my claim. I noted that either the cheese or the mayo was spoiled and she retorted “this sandwich doesn’t have mayo”, though I’m fairly certain that the Cali wrap has a spicy mayo. Then she proceeded to tell me that, according to a store list, the ingredients in the wrap were fresh and had not reached their expiration date. I responded by asking if she would like to taste it since she seemed convinced that I was lying about the food being spoiled. She wrinkled her nose and responded, “not really”, and I noted that I didn’t want to argue about the food; I just wanted a refund for this one wrap as my daughter tasted her wrap and it was fine. I also didn’t want a second Cali wrap because my appetite was ruined, and I don’t believe in accepting food once it’s been returned to the kitchen, and certainly not food prepared by an unkind, unfriendly employee. After this very uncomfortable exchange, a nice gentleman, whom I’m assuming is the manager, asked me what was wrong. He offered to remake the wrap, but I declined letting him know that I just wanted a refund for the Cali wrap. He refunded the entire order, which was nice but not necessary as I wasn’t trying to be a customer aiming for free food. I just wanted to be treated fairly and refunded for the portion of the meal that was unsatisfactory. Rather than being interrogated, a basic apology and a refund for that one item would have been sufficient and kept the interaction from becoming uncomfortable. I appreciate how polite the manager was, but the initial attitude of the first employee really soured the experience, just like the food. It’s frustrating that so many employees today seem to lack a basic sense of customer service. This employee in particular should be relegated to working in the prep area only and not allowed to interact with customers. My daughter and I have ordered from this location several times, and we both agree that she is consistently unpleasant. The good news is that I will be saving money by finding a recipe to recreate this wrap at home. I suspect that as kindness and the quality of service continues to decline in our society, more people will pass on ordering out, which is probably for the best.

I went back in with my thai wrap with no sauce on it, they wanted to charge me then just add a squirrel of sauce. The kids working couldn't even see the sauce that was supposedly on there. So I said well then I'll take a refund. These kids are here without an adult manager to know that is not good business sense. By the way, we spent at least $80 here.
