- WSW SOct 31, 20253.0Our server Shunda greeted us when we walked in & was very attentive to our needs & requests. Salad bar was small but good, everything was fresh. Buffet appeared to be left overs, watered down rice, mashed potatoes & mac n cheese. Chicken livers were cold, fried chicken was undercooked & bloody inside. Smothered porkchops were hard and old. I was looking forward to some home cooked southern soul, unfortunately I was very disappointed. The owner made excuses & was not apologetic in the least. We own a catering business so we do know bloody undercooked chicken from smoked pink chicken. We visited based on reviews however I would not recommend the lunch Buffet. My husband tried a burger off the menu and said it was ok.

The owner and chef and his Wife came and chatted with us and the staff could not have been any more helpful and friendly. We go out and eat every Thanksgiving somewhere and the owner said he was thinking seriously thinking about being open.Really hope he is . We will be there. Best dressing and giblet gravy around, If you are ever in the area go and eat some of the best home cooking around stop in . They serve breakfast also. 5 star cooking . Kudos to Southern Soul💯👍👍👍👍👍👍
