Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers generally praised the food quality, particularly the burgers, but some reported issues with cold or poorly cooked items.
Service Issues
Many reviews highlighted inconsistent service, with reports of long wait times, incorrect orders, and rude staff in some instances.
Staff Friendliness
Despite service issues, several customers noted friendly and helpful staff, particularly mentioning specific employees who provided excellent service.
Cleanliness and Atmosphere
The restaurant was frequently described as clean and having a pleasant atmosphere, especially for a new location.
Overall Experience
While many enjoyed their meals and the overall experience, there were significant complaints about service speed and order accuracy.

Came in today to take advantage of a reward. I never had their chicken strips... they are known for hamburgers, right? We'll they were really good. I will definitely consider having straps in the future. Staff here, especially Emily, is always super friendly and energetic. I never feel like a bother to them, like I do in many restaurants.

Their breakfasts weren't why I was excited for them to open in our area. I'd long been told about how good the burgers are. However I found that their breakfast offerings were quite tasty.
One suggestion: a Texas-based burger chain should have a steak biscuit on the menu. Just sayin'

Not too bad..but if you want an iced coffee you may have to wait forever. I enjoy their breakfast more than lunch and dinner.

Once a week regular sometimes more often.
Breakfast bowls are amazing, my daughter loves the biscuits and gravy. When we do lunch I always grab a patty melt and wife usually looks for what's new and baby girl gets a Justaburger kids meal. Staff is always friendly. Sometimes the food can be a little on the cold side.
Over all a good experience.
