- AAAnjaDec 30, 20255.0I’m not sure how I missed the fact that this butcher shop serves prepared food, but I am so glad we finally visited tonight. Having dined at nearly every restaurant in Charlotte and Ballantyne, we’ve started exploring the South Carolina food scene—and this was the perfect place to start. We ordered the steak flight, tuna tartare, gouda mac and cheese, and roasted mushrooms. Everything was incredibly flavorful. I’ve had steaks at Michelin-starred restaurants across the globe, and I have to say, the cuts here were impressive. Usually, I lose interest in steak once it starts to cool, but these were seasoned so perfectly that every bite remained tender, juicy, and delicious until the very end. After dinner, we explored the shop itself; it’s a total wonderland for foodies! They carry all my favorite pantry staples, and the fresh selections look top-tier. We will definitely be back. The staff were very nice, too. Really stumbled upon a gem here!

Huge portions and well worth the experience. This last visit we sat at the bar and our server Melinda was awesome! She recommended so great dishes for us to try and helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The butchers behind the glass were all super friendly and all the product in the windows looked phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back and try even more food!

The service was great, the dishes were served quickly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Plus, you can buy ready-to-eat food to take home. We will definitely be coming back — this place is worth it!

Upon entering, Bryan happily greeted us and gave us a quick tour of all they had to offer. We wandered and shopped. Great selection of meats, salads, wine, meals to go and a lot more. They serve some yummy looking food right there in the cafe. There were a few seats at the bar so we took a break for a glass of wine. The Rombauer Zinfandel was stellar! Got a chance to sample the burnt ends and brisket... Amazing We walked out with Denver steaks, chicken picatta, lasagne, several bottles of wine and more. Heading back soon.
