  I was very disappointed with the service I received at the Papa John’s location in Greenwood, SC. I order at least once a week from this location. I placed a carryout order at 7:17 PM and was told the wait time would be 15–20 minutes. I arrived a little over 20 minutes later to pick up my pizza. When I arrived, I paid for my order and waited about five more minutes without receiving any update on the status of my pizza. I then asked if my pizza was ready, and I was told it would be about 10 more minutes. At that point, more than 30 minutes had already passed since the order was placed. I finally received my pizza at 7:52 PM. The box was stamped with the time of 7:37pm. Because of the delay and lack of communication, I asked if there was any possibility of compensation, such as a free soda. The employee at the counter said she would ask her manager since she could not make that decision herself. When she asked him, he dismissed the request, so I asked to speak with him directly. Unfortunately, the manager did not take the time to hear my concern. Instead, he immediately said there was nothing he would do and that they were busy. I explained that I understood they were busy, but the original time estimate was inaccurate and there were no updates provided while I waited. Normally, when a store is busy, customers are given a longer estimated wait time. The manager then responded by saying he could refund my money and asked if I wanted the pizza or not. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, I am highly dissatisfied with the level of customer service I experienced. The situation could have been handled much more professionally with simple communication and a willingness to address the concern. I hope management reviews this experience and provides better training for handling customer concerns during busy times.

  The works pizza very undercooked and the pepperoni pizza was overcooked. Neither tasted good.

  My three pizzas sat for a long time because the staff mumbled my name when they announced that the order was ready. They need someone who can speak loudly and clearly.
