When lobster tails are on sale, this store has a serious inventory problem…Can’t find any lobster tails for sale. To solve this issue, I ordered 6 tails online to make sure they were in stock, since I can never find them in this store when they are on sale. I received an order confirmation, and email with pickup instructions. I was supposed to receive a notification confirmation. When I went to pickup my order, I was told the tails are out-of-stock. Exactly what I wanted avoid was a wasted trip to Food Lion, which is what I got. If the tails were not in stock, the order should not be processed and confirmed. If an order is cancelled, I should have received a cancellation email. Food Lion needs to adjust its online ordering system to check inventory before confirming an order or send a cancellation email when the store realizes the order cannot be filled.
