Though restaurant fairly empty, 4 of us were seated right by the hostess stand and door which was noisy. Food okay but not offered grated cheese for my pasta (already on ahead of time) and wait staff did not check on us at all. Wouldn’t return.

Sat down at the bar for happy hour. They only had one bartender. I was the first the arrive at the bar and she hovered me the whole time after having my drink and telling her I was waiting for someone. When I say hover, I don't mean tentative. I mean she stood next to me and stared. The bar fill up. We get ready to leave and she keeps avoiding us to pay our bill. I only had so much time and it took her over 20 minutes to finally acknowledge us. Card was sitting on the bar and we tried to wave her down anytime she came near. I get being busy but 20+ minutes for the check is unacceptable. Food was okay. Cocktails were good which is the only reason for the additional stars bc the service was very poor.
What an experience! Great food, attentive service. We had a party of 4 before a show at the Peace Center next door. The host let us know they would hold our leftovers and we could pick them up after the show -- we didn't end up having any, but what a great service! Will definitely keep that in mind for the future. The staff kept our deadline in mind so we got to the show in plenty of time.
So many amazing food and drink options, it was hard to choose. The wine and cocktail lists are enough to give you options but not overwhelming. Food has something for everyone, all Italian options. We tried the focaccia with ricotta and Caesar salad for starters (not pictured, we were so hungry!), then the agnolotti and pansotti pasta dishes. I will be dreaming about the pansotti. The agnolotti was good, although a bit sweet for me and a small portion size compared to everything else we had. A friend ordered the sausage pizza and it was a generous personal portion big enough to share. For dessert, the affogato. Ice cream could have had more vanilla for me, but still a delicious end to a scrumptious meal.
Ambiance reminds me of a sunny day in Italy: lots of blues and whites, tile, and wood surfaces. Snappy casual dress code recommended. Table, booth, bar, and outside seating available. Restrooms are across the entrance and inside the hotel. No-step entrance with a roundabout drop off option, and accessible seating available. Parking available on the street and in nearby parking garages.

Just not a great experience for several reasons.
Starts with management and the need to improve. We entered the restaurant and were at the empty hostess stand when a man, presumably the manager, came behind us from the hotel, went to the stand and said "has anyone helped you?"
Then, after we gave our name, he said the hostess would be along to seat us.
No, hello or good evening or any other expression to show he was happy we were there.
In plenty of my reviews, I have said the manager sets the tone and that's what we experienced here.
Our server was fine but untrained. We have one GF person and, after the noting the only thing on the menu related was GF pizza crust, we asked if other dishes were or could be made GF. The server didn't know but said she would ask. If she did ask, she sure didn't come back to tell us.
At this price point, the menu should have markings or the answer is "we're a scratch kitchen and can make just about anything GF."
Drinks were sooooooo slow. This is obviously a problem because our server even apologized (twice). 15 minutes from ordering the second round to receiving them.
We believe our server had a table on the complete opposite side of the restaurant. We hope so because this is the best explanation for her not coming by to see our drinks were empty.
Food timing was very weird. Three dishes out at the same time and mine took another five minutes. Again, at this price point, that's gotta make the critique list.
Of course, no manager circulating and noting these things by being on top of everything.
Food? Good+. Lasagna and tagliatelle dishes were very good as was the pizza. GF option? The shrimp appetizer. Sigh.
Undercooked broccoli. Charred to look cool but not cooked.... The technique is to start them by steam or boil and THEN to finish them by charring so they aren't raw.
When I did get my margarita it was disappointing. I realize it's an Italian place but their tequila selection was really sub par (there are many excellent choices out there even at reasonable price points) and the marga was way too sour. I'm consistent in this across all my reviews because the margarita is the most popular cocktail in the world and requires the proper ratios. Actually, that's the same as all cocktails.
Dessert mousse was fine but nothing to rave about.
I guess that's the bottom line. $250 for four of us (one person only having an appetizer) for really nothing to rave about and several areas needing attention.
To that end, the door leading outside to the patio slams closed each and every time someone uses it reverberating throughout the restaurant. Simple fix to have the two stage pneumatic arm adjusted. Attention to detail and good management needed.
Pleasant is the word. Me and my girlfriend went here at 8:00pm on a Saturday, we made a reservation and were seated straight away (that’s a big deal to me). Our server was promptly at our table and very courteous. The kitchen took a while to put our food on the table, basically exactly 50 minute wait. Even so, absolutely worth the wait. The chicken piccata is exquisite. My girlfriend found the baked tomato pesto gnocchi very filling and was only able to eat about half, I was delighted to finish it for her.
