Was nice to be able to place reservations regardless of the need at the time. Once seated the menu was easy to read and choose from. We tried a bit of everything. Presentation was excellent with each dish. Service was a little rushed and timing between entrees and starters could have been better and not so close. Check ins with table could have happened more but overall service was very hospitable and engaging. Im sure we didn't help things since some in our party ordered dessert for dinner , when it came to timing of the plates coming out. The most surprising option was the crab cakes. I ordered as a starter but could easily be a main course. I would recommend this dish ten times over even as just a side. I let everyone at our table try it because the combination of the crab with the cream sauce and rice set fireworks to the palette. The combination was perfect that evening and again my top recommendation. Only thing if I had something to add would be an option for 1 or 2 crab cakes on the menu. The creme brulee was spot on and the favorite out of the two desserts. The lava cake with the raspberry drizzle was really good but also had an amazing presentation. Definitely fun for the kiddos to look at and eat. We were a table of 4 and all had a try. Would definitely recommend this location again primarily because of the seafood and more intimate atmosphere options. Would like to review some of the other seafood and menu options for sure.

The veal (all 3 ozs of it) in the piccata was dry and tough, requiring a steak knife to cut, and very chewy. There were also no mushrooms at all in a dish where crimini mushrooms are a main ingredient. This is the second and last time we will be eating here. They just don’t care.

Have you tried Travinia Italian Kitchen & Bar on pleasanburg SC? It’s located where southern culture used to be. Tonight I went to meet some friends in the atmosphere was wonderful. We had live music and the scenery was beautiful as well as the smell aroma of food was superb. My meal choice was the POLLO ISABELLA Pan seared chicken, roasted red tomatoes, goat cheese, lemon butter, sautéed baby spinach, and basil ( $21) I had to make myself stop eating. It was so delicious and the flavors make so well the goat cheese, and the lemon butter sauce on the tender chicken was top-notch. Instead of ordering pasta, I chose to order the creamy Parmesan risotto . I love risotto and the flavor was so simple but yet just the right combination to mix with all the flavors that surrounded the chicken. Before my meal, I enjoyed - friday night special Marilyn martini that consist of Ketel One, (Vodka) muddled strawberries and mint, St. Germaine, lemon juice, topped with prosecco. The grapefruit flavor mixed so wonderful with the mint and muddled strawberries. For some reason, this martini reminded me of another martini that I had in Gastonia a while back and then I realized the ingredients had the St Germaine includes as well. (Research says; St-Germain is a French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflower blossoms, known for its sweet, floral flavor with notes of peach, pear, and grapefruit. It's a popular cocktail ingredient, often used in spritzes, gin and tonics, and other mixed drinks, and is recognized by its Art Deco-style bottle. Each bottle contains up to 1,000 elderflower blossoms, which are harvested once a year in late spring. ) Tonight was live music by guitarist that played Melody’s that created an atmosphere of calmness and a feel of an eloquent Mood. It was definitely my class and style of a room. Travinia is an Italian style restaurant that serves authentic Italian dishes. The service was very friendly and we had several people check on us to make sure we were OK. I definitely will be returning . And Oh they have brunch served from 8 to 2 Saturday and Sunday. That might be my next meal at Travinias. Go check them out at Cherrydale on Pleasantburg drive in Greenville SC. It’s a very elegant and well deserving treatment for yourself to go visit this #tastefultipsandtrips #robinshockley #foodblogger #swiftmagazine
