On my birthday, November 10th, I went to dinner with my partner, and everything was fine until it came time to pay the bill. It was less than $100, and he paid in cash, giving them $200 so they would give him more change and he could leave a tip since he didn't have any more small bills. The thing is, they only gave him back $3, which was the bill amount. They refused to return the other $100 because they claimed it was counterfeit, which wasn't true since the bank doesn't issue counterfeit bills. Two girls from the same establishment came over, and both said it was counterfeit and refused to give us back the $100. Even so, the bill had already been paid, and if it was "supposedly counterfeit," they should have returned it and not kept it. But they still refused to give it back. So, in the end, they stole $100 from us that night. I couldn't call the police because I had an emergency, but that doesn't seem fair. We don't speak English very well, and I couldn't... I defended myself as I was, but that's unethical. I loved going there to eat; I went regularly because I love the mango habanero wings and the hamburgers. But after this, I had a really bad experience, and you shouldn't do that to anyone. You work hard for your money to go out and eat, and then they say, "It's fake," when it's not. The next day, we went to the bank to check the other bills to make sure, and they said they were real. We went because he had given her another one, and she had told him it was "fake." That proved we were robbed of 100 that night. So be careful, and if it happens to you, don't let them get away with it. I had to leave because of an emergency, but I was very upset, and if it weren't for that, I would have stayed there until I resolved the problem.
