- RGRandy GulickAug 27, 20251.0Stopped in at 12:30 with a friend. Haven't eaten at a Subway in probably 7+ years and this verifies why. Man and woman behind the counter couldn't have been any less friendly. Probably husband and wife mad at each other. I thought I'd try the 6" "Philly Cheesesteak" on white bread. She took the ice cream scoop and scooped up some odd-looking chopped meat pieces and pushed it on the bread. She then put cheese on it and popped it in the toaster oven for 15 seconds. The lettuce in the bin was "rusty", my term for it sitting out and turning light brown. No thanks! Other "condiments" appeared to be OK, but who knows? I wasn't willing to gamble. I only asked for salt & pepper and took a chance on the mayo. The "meat" had an odd seasoning on it and was just a weird texture (chewy). If my friend hadn't paid for lunch, I would have tossed it in the trash and gone somewhere else. 1 other person was there...that should have been a clue.
