I had a very upsetting experience at this Food Lion today, and I am asking management to please review the security footage from the checkout registers. About 1:45pm on 02/19/2026 I went in to withdraw cash and was told there was a $200 limit. I needed $240, so I attempted to complete two separate transactions using two different bank accounts. The policy was never clearly explained to me - no one clarified whether the limit was per transaction or per customer just that “YOU CANNOT DO THAT!” Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the 2 employees spoke to me in a raised and disrespectful tone and made me feel singled out and embarrassed in front of other customers. The situation was handled very unprofessionally. I live fairly close by and shop at this location MULTIPLE times a day, spending a significant* amount of money here each week. As a regular customer, I have noticed a major decline in customer service recently. There has been a large number of new hires, and unfortunately many of the interactions I’ve had lately have been negative and unfriendly. I am asking management to review the video footage from today and take a closer look at both staff training and hiring practices. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. After this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Which is a shame as this store is convenient and I love the old staff. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the customer experience. — UPDATE: After this incident, management took the time to review the CCTV footage and addressed the situation. I appreciate that they took my concern seriously and followed up to handle the issue. It means a lot to see accountability and action being taken. I’m hopeful this leads to better communication with customers and improved service moving forward.

The only reason I go there is because Publix is under going renovations.

I was in this Food Lion completing a DoorDash order, and overall I want to be very clear: the store itself and the associates working there were excellent—professional, attentive, and clearly doing their jobs correctly under pressure. While I was checking out, the front entrance alarm began going off. From what I could tell, it was likely due to either a cart alarm or a large case of drinks triggering the sensor. The customer involved had already paid for all of his items. The cashier spoke up—calmly and professionally—to confirm that everything had been rung up and paid for, which was completely appropriate since it was her transaction and her customer. What stood out negatively was the general manager’s behavior toward his associates. His tone and delivery toward the cashier were dismissive and unnecessarily rude, essentially telling her to stay out of it—even though she was simply clarifying her own checkout. After the customer left, the manager doubled down, again speaking to her in a way that felt disrespectful and belittling. Shortly after, another associate was walking with an elderly customer toward the door and mentioned she was helping her with groceries—something I’ve seen done many times at this store. The general manager stopped her and replaced her with someone else, again in a blunt and discourteous manner. As someone who has worked retail, this felt very familiar: when a higher-up comes in and everyone suddenly looks tense, rushed, and uncomfortable, it’s usually not because the workers are bad at their jobs—it’s because of poor leadership and tone from management. I’m giving this store five stars specifically because of the associates. They handled themselves professionally, stayed respectful, and continued doing their jobs despite being spoken to in a way no employee deserves. I truly hope leadership reflects on how much impact their behavior has on staff morale, because the workers here are doing a great job.

My first time in a Food Lion. All good except...waited at the appy counter for quite a while but no one came to help me with my order! There was a worker behind the counter who saw me but never assisted and then just disappeared. What's up with that!
