The Kingstide is Daniel Island’s first and only waterfront restaurant. Boasting a pristine setting along the Wando River’s meandering waterways, the beautifully appointed two-story space features an abundance of windows that maximize natural light and picturesque views. Envisioned and executed by renowned Charleston-based Cortney Bishop Design, The Kingstide’s rustic yet refined interiors offer a nautical nod that goes beyond coastal expectations
The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes thoughtfully presented in both raw and wood-fired preparations. Inspired by the beautifully simple flavors of the sea, The Kingstide partners with local and regional fisheries, farmers, and purveyors to showcase the Lowcountry’s bounty through fresh, seasonally driven cuisine.
Many customers praised the attentive and knowledgeable service from various staff members, highlighting specific servers like Hudson, Zoe, and Dargan for their exceptional hospitality.

Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Amazing, down to earth service and the food was incredible from appetizer to main course. Tried the mussels, the cauliflower, and the grouper entree. All top notch.

We ate here twice in 3 days. Dillon was great - had him both times. Lobster bisque was outstanding first night, batch slightly less so second time. Grouper was lovely both times. Cesar salad was excellent. Calamari was very meaty - one said best he’d ever had! Brussels sprouts and carrots are fantastic - don’t skip!!! The view of the water is beautiful and they have a playground outside too.

The Kingstide is an amazing gem in the Charleston area. The atmosphere, professionalism, stellar service and five star food is top notch. Madi was knowledgeable, and an overall rock star. I loved her menu recommendations and friendly approach to a solo diner. Make sure to sit at the chefs table overlooking the kitchen to see the seamless team work their magic. Thanks to Glenn for stopping by and sharing the story of the Kingstide. They even have igloos to eat in on the rooftop! Thx for a memorable meal. I love the fresh pasta and crab as well as the roasted carrots on steroids.

We absolutely had the most amazing experience for my son’s 18th birthday dinner! They went ABOVE and BEYOND! They reached out a week before our reservation and asked about my son’s favorite teams, hobbies, desserts in order to make our dinner special! Our centerpiece was a “bouquet” of special things he loved! Wow! The food was amazing, the waitstaff was amazing, every.single.thing was AMAZING!! The GM and the management team went out of their way to meet us, engage us and make the night special. We are so appreciative!
