Made my coffee to my liking, sat down and enjoyed my time there with no problems and left peacefully as usual.

I was there the other day, great service, a lovely place, and the co-owner is wonderful. I’ve known him for many years.

I visited Sweetwaters after seeing a lot of positive reviews on TikTok and was excited to try it for myself. When I arrived, there were three staff members (that I could see) busy assisting other customers. I completely understand tending to orders for current customers, but what stood out to me was the lack of acknowledgment by the staff. It took a while before anyone even recognized that I was standing there waiting. I’m not overly picky about customer service when work is clearly being done, but I do believe acknowledging customers goes a long way. That said, once I was helped, the young lady who assisted me was very friendly and took the time to explain some of their popular drinks and ingredients, which I appreciated. To keep it simple for my first visit, I ordered a mocha frappe. Unfortunately, what I received was not what I expected at all. It was more like a chocolate milkshake (which I personally don’t like), and there was no espresso flavor whatsoever. For a $9 drink, that was disappointing. Because I wasn’t sure if this was just their version of a frappe or if something was off, I actually stopped at two other coffee shops nearby afterward and ordered the same drink for comparison. Both places immediately noticed the difference and mentioned that a frappe typically isn’t ice cream-based. One location even made my drink for free (which I still tipped for), but my goal was simply to understand if I had misunderstood what I ordered. I did try to follow up by calling the store to speak with a manager, but I wasn’t able to reach one. I was told to call back later, and after multiple attempts, I was eventually told they weren’t sure if a manager would even be in that day, which was annoying. Overall, my experience wasn’t terrible, but it was disappointing. Between the lack of acknowledgment, the incorrect drink, and the inability to speak with management, I ended up wasting time, gas, and $9. I had been looking forward to trying this place for weeks, but unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning.

Ordered a triple ice latte with oatmilk for over $7, and it tasted absolutely awful. Also, difficult to find parking, and their app is not user-friendly at all and seems to try to sell you on everything. Only thing positive about the experience was their service was quick, but I do not recommend if you want a decent cup of coffee. Complete rip off.
