  Been enjoying this place since it opened, but today the music was loud and obnoxious, can't hardly converse at our table. The three of us asked a total of four times to lower the volume but it has remained loud. Could not have a business phone call in this atmosphere.

  Panera Bread – 1321 Roberts Branch Parkway, Columbia, SC 29203 I decided to give this Panera Bread another chance after past experiences with consistently sloppy sandwiches, but unfortunately today was no different. The young lady at the drive‑thru was pleasant, as she always is, and I clearly stated my sandwich modifications. However, when I opened my order, most of the ingredients were falling off the side of the bagel instead of being placed between it, as if the sandwich had been assembled without care. I went inside and spoke with an African American female employee who was apologetic and had the sandwich remade. When I checked the second sandwich in my car, the grilled chicken had been left off entirely. Already running late for work—partly due to the credit card machine malfunction at the window—I spoke with what appeared to be a manager (African American male). He took the sandwich but did not offer an apology, only asking what I wanted him to do. Because of time constraints, I asked him to simply add the chicken, which was cold. He offered to toast it again, but I could not wait any longer. This location would benefit greatly from consistent employee training on food preparation, sandwich assembly, and the importance of order accuracy, especially when customers provide specific modifications. Staff should also be educated on customer service basics, including offering apologies when mistakes occur and taking initiative to resolve issues without placing the burden back on the customer. I want to be very clear that I am not requesting any follow‑up from this store. My intention is simply to provide honest feedback in hopes that service and food quality improve for future customers.

  They made some delicious salads and sandwiches! Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. The tea was fresh and tasted very good. This is a great Panera!
