I love Five Guys and it used to be a favorite place for our family when in the mood for a burger and fries. This is the only location close enough to frequent and the service is so consistently bad that we had stopped going there.
We are currently moving so I asked the moving crew what they wanted for lunch. Unfortunately, they wanted Five Guys and I said “sure” instead of explaining the likely outcome. I would have been correct.
I placed the pick up order. It wasn’t ready when I got there but the completely disinterested girl taking orders told me it was almost ready and they were finishing it up. I waited and I waited. After seeing many customers order and get their food, I asked her again about my order. She SLOWLY walked over to check on the order and the guy near them said “yeah, that order has been up there for like 15 minutes.” She handed me the bag and walked away like I had done something to her. No apology, no recognition of their mistake….just total lack of motivation to wait on customers.
I won’t return EVER to this particular store and would warn anyone who is in the mood for a burger. There are other places close by - go THERE and skip this Five Guys. Trust me when I say, you’ll make the cashier’s day so that she doesn’t have to do any real work.

Food is great every single time, employees give great service. Another customer took our order before we could get to the counter and they remade the food quickly and gave us a $10 off coupon for next time for the wait even though they did nothing wrong. Definitely our go-to Five Guys location.

Don’t order here if you have food allergies. No matter how many times I order a hamburger, they put cheese on it. Serves me right for using a delivery app, but it’s 3 times in a row now and the app will only refund me partially. I’m sick of paying for food I can’t eat.

The employees are friendly and food is delicious! One of my favorite things about Five Guys, is that they have small menu, so they can focus on quality. The burgers are juicy and theres a lot of toppings to choose from. And the fries! Their small is as much as a medium anywhere else, or more. They fill the cup up and then put another healthy scoop in the bag!
What is the Five Guys story/How did you guys get your name?
Five Guys began its pursuit to redefine the global burger landscape in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell asked three of their sons whether they wanted to start a business or go to college. Now, three decades after our first location opened in Arlington, Va., Five Guys – a fast-casual restaurant chain named for the Murrells' five sons – serves a classic take on hamburgers, fries and milkshakes in more than 1,700 locations across 24 countries.

How many restaurants does Five Guys have?
As of January 2026, we have more than 1,900 locations in over 24 countries!
Does Five Guys offer delivery?
Most North American locations offer delivery. The best way to find out if the location nearest to you offers delivery is to visit our website or download the app.
Additionally, we work with all major third-party delivery companies in the U.S., including DoorDash and Uber, so feel free to search for Five Guys through their platforms!
Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.
While our crew members do all they can to avoid it, there is always a risk of cross-contamination. Please review our nutritional, ingredient and allergen chart for the most accurate information.
Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
Why is Five Guys switching from a fry cup to a fry bag?
We are switching to fry bags to ensure your fries stay fresher and as part of our larger commitment to the environment. The bags allow air to circulate better, so fries stay fresh during delivery and takeout. Same portions, same great fries – just smarter packaging that’s also better for the environment.
