Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times and poor service, particularly in the drive-thru and during busy hours.
Food Quality
While many customers enjoyed the burgers and some menu items, there were numerous complaints about incorrect orders and food being served cold or stale.
Staff Performance
Some employees received praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, but there were also reports of rude behavior and lack of engagement from staff.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was noted for being clean and well-maintained, which was appreciated by several customers.
Overall Experience
The overall experience varied widely, with some customers expressing strong dissatisfaction while others enjoyed their meals and service.

You can tell a lot about a restaurant by how it's managed, and Ashley Adams clearly runs a tight ship. Despite the place being packed, the staff was calm and the service was seamless. It was great to see a manager who isn't afraid to jump in and help their team, that leadership really shows in the food and the atmosphere.

The last two times I went in the drive-through I was left sitting at the speaker box and no one ever answered to take my order. The last time I was there I waited 6 minutes without even getting a please give us a moment or anything.
Previous visits before my orders have been incorrect more than correct.
Definitely not the same service as in Texas.

We Came to this location on Christmas Eve, as I was visiting family saw the sign and was craving whataburger. let me say the place was very beautiful inside. (I’ve seen the older whataburgers) the store was very clean for the traffic coming in, and the staff was kind. The manager on duty was courteous. We went around 4pm and got our food in a few minutes, I wanted to make sure that we gave a good review as they were all working hard with how busy it was. food was delicious and delivered with a smile! Will be coming back soon

I've been to this location multiple times and only had positive things to say until today. Went in to place a take out order because the drive thru was 16 cars deep (now I know that was foreshadowing what was to come). After waiting roughly 5 min to order at counter I used kiosk to order because there was no counter presence. After placing order at kiosk the real fun began. Took another 5 min to get drink cup. Then after waiting on my order for 25 min (and seeing 3 other purple get their order who ordered after I did) I finally got my order. Once I reached my desk to eat my lunch, the burger was cold and messed up. Requested cheese and no onion but burger had no cheese and extra onions and the fries were cold and not edible anymore. I would have gone back to store to exchange but apparently the manager on shift already didn't care so what was point in going back. Less than a year of being opened they have turned into a dysfunctional fast food restaurant that will no longer get any of my money so take my advice and go somewhere else like Chick-fil-A across the street.

I visited the location next to the Honda Whataburger and had a disappointing experience. The parking lot was dirty, which I initially assumed was due to the cold weather, but I decided to go inside and place an order anyway.
While waiting, an employee came out to address an issue with overflowing water from the restroom and placed cones to block it off. Despite this, my wife, child, and I stood in line for several minutes without being greeted or acknowledged by any staff member. After about four minutes, it became apparent that customers were expected to use the self-service kiosk, but no one communicated this to us.
Another couple entered shortly after us and asked if our order had been taken. When we told them it had not, we suggested the kiosk. They explained they were an elderly couple and preferred to place their order with an employee. After waiting with no assistance, they eventually left.
This location started off strong, but the lack of customer service and staff engagement is concerning. If these issues continue, it’s easy to see how this business could lose customers and revenue. Management needs to address staffing and customer service expectations before this location follows the path of other businesses that have closed due to poor service. This was on 13th Dec 2025 at 0829 to be exact. Went across the way to chick fil a
