Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Service can be a 10/10 depending on the day and time—sometimes the staff is super bubbly and welcoming, other times not as enthusiastic. I don’t mind waiting a few minutes because the food is worth it. Overall, this is still my favorite location and I would choose it over any other.

Literally in line at the drive thru while the guy took every other order going thru the first drive thru and never answered me. These people are rude and have zero customer service skills. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was busy. Everything tasted amazing and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. What really made this visit stand out, though, was the outstanding leadership from this one manager. You can tell they truly care about both the customers and the staff. The manager was professional, friendly, and made sure everything was running smoothly. It’s rare to see someone so involved and dedicated to creating such a positive environment. Overall, this Whataburger location exceeded my expectations. Great food, great service, and an incredible team led by an excellent general manager. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
