Chantal is by far the best bartender. We go there to see her, and she always makes us feel so welcomed. She is always engaging with her guest that sits at her bar, and go above and beyond to make sure the experience is superb and on point. I make time in by busy schedule to always come when she is there. We have become on of her regulars. Thanks Chantal for always having that pretty smile on your face, and making us feel welcomed!!!

I really like the ambiance of this place. Nice decor, live music that's not overwhelming loud, bowling, drinks. My first time going. The most enjoyable were the appetizers. I had a few issues with the food. The Mac and cheese had good flavor but had a weird burnt taste like the oven hadn't been cleaned in a while. I would never order an entrée from here again. The steak wasn't seasoned well, and a bit tough, the greens had a metallic taste and extremely soft and mushy like from a can, it also had an odd taste. The fish was ok, but not seasoned well. I would go back again if I was near main street and wanted someplace nice to sit and talk over drinks and for the bar food. I liked the booth seats but they sank in quite a bit making it hard to get close to the table. The zucchini fries were good, but greasy.

I love to come to The Grand for a low-key bar and eating experience. I've usually come around the holidays to meet up with friends but recently went out on a Friday night just to see how it would go. The hosts all greeted us openly, and our friend who waited for us at the bar was also treated well by her bartender. Once we asked for a table, we were seated then served by Carlos who is an absolute delight! He filled our night with so much fun that we came back after leaving! Most of the staff we met were so friendly, accommodating, and had good vibes (unfortunately we didn't get everyone's names). Carlos even referred one of the hosts, Emma, to our friend who wanted some suggestions which was so helpful. We didn't take any pictures of the food or drinks this time, but everything was very tasty. We all agreed that we will have to come back more often to support a local spot with so many wonderful people on staff that really became a highlight of our night!!

The presentation of the food was appealing, though unfortunately, the taste did not fully match the appearance. The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor and was served only lukewarm. The ribs were not as tender as expected; I actually took them home and finished them in the oven to achieve a better texture. On a positive note, the collard greens were absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. The wait staff was polite, attentive, and courteous throughout the meal, which I truly appreciated. While the décor was attractive, the overall atmosphere was diminished by a strong, lingering aroma of raw garlic. Although I enjoy cooking with garlic, the scent was overpowering and somewhat unpleasant in a dining environment.

The manager was an absolute jerk. The two bartenders behind the bar were laughing about how he had no idea what he was doing. I’d had a rough day and decided to try somewhere new. The hostesses were sweet and honest about the menu, so I gave it a shot. The place was surprisingly big — turns out it’s a bowling alley — but pretty dirty and worn down, especially in daylight. My waitress and the hostess were both lovely. I ordered the $42 blackened ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes. The sides were phenomenal, but the steak was awful — thin, gristly, overcooked, and barely edible. I quietly told my waitress that everything else was great but the steak was terrible. I specifically said, “Please don’t mention it to your manager because I don’t want him to take it off my bill. I just want you to tell the chef later, quietly. Sometimes things get missed when it’s busy, and I don’t want him getting in trouble — I’ll still eat it or my husband will.” Instead, she told the manager right away as I’m sure she didn’t want him upset. He didn’t realize I was sitting nearby and said loudly, “All you can do is say sorry and get over it.” When he saw me, he just shrugged. Later, he came over with a fake apology — “I think we overcooked your steak a little” — and I told him I’d already heard his response and that my only issue was how he treated both his staff and his customers. In short — great waitress, sweet hostess, good sides, awful steak, and a completely unprofessional manager. I apologized the girls as I left the restaurant for their rude ah manager and they said oh we get it. Which told me they’ve dealt with him before. He seemed overwhelmed. Someone needs a demotion and to be retrained.
