  Really enjoyed the experience and food at Shokudo! Service was also excellent. They had a new item on the menu, a sashimi plate, that stole the show. Also loved the hand rolls. We’ll be back to try more!

  Everything was so perfectly executed, Dasha was wonderful to work with, and Jonas made some amazing cocktails. The Waygu Dumplings definitely stole the show, but we still couldnt decide which dish was our favorite. Highly recommend trying a bit of everything!

  Stumbled upon this place last night and ended up eating at the bar. Drinks were phenomenal, food was fantastic, and the service was beyond amazing. The bartenders were the best but all members of the staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning with friends when they come to visit.

  Had a great experience here for a birthday dinner!! Dasha was the best server we could’ve asked for and was so thoughtful to bring out not only a birthday dessert but a SECOND one for our dairy/gluten free friend. P.S. Don’t skip out on the wagyu dumplings!

  My husband and I visited Charleston to celebrate my birthday, and if I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Chef Masa’s newest venture is truly a must-visit. The artistic presentation and impeccable service made the evening unforgettable. Standout dishes included the Jingisukan lamb kushiyaki and Kinoko, while the crudo and beef dumplings were exceptional. The Shaka Shaka fries were a fun and unique touch, as was the apple pie—but the true highlight was the miso caramel soft serve affogato. As someone born in Japan, I felt especially grateful to experience the chef’s creations on such a special occasion!
