First of all, what the heck is going on with Krispy Kreme. The doors are always closed, and the so called workers you can see through the windows barely moving around, DESPITE long lines of cars waiting to simply get a single box or two of donuts? Covid has been over almost 5vyears now, so get those doors open!! You have no excuse as to why a place that supposedly has donuts all day, runs slow as a snail, and customer service almost non existent! I went there this morning while the " Hot Now" light was on, waited in a line wrapped around the building for at least 15 minutes, only to get to the window and my donuts were NOT hot, but very much cold and they looked old. As a paying customer, I EXPECT hot donuts each and every time, and good/decent customer service! If you do not want to work there, and do you job like Krispy Kreme expects you to be performing....then quit and move on. The management needs to be overhauled with a known performer who can get results, no losses of customers and reputation. There are new specialty donuts shops opening all over, Krispy Kreme you need to pay attention or else you will wound up being the next failed business here in the low country, and that would be a crying shame, because it doesn't have to be like that. Shape up, or ship out!!

Its crazy how hard this location fell off. I havent been to a physical Krispy Kreme location in ages and I decided to treat my staff this morning with a variety donut box of their choice. I get to the store and they have nothing except Chocolate glaze and Strawberry glazed with sprinkles. Okay whatever thats fine I guess. Its just that the donuts I got weren't fresh and had a stale taste to them. $20 for a stale box of donuts? Not very much of a treat. Don't think I'll ever return here after this and im sure the employees couldn't care less they all looked like they wanted to die on the spot anyway.

The donuts were as expected. Krispy Kreme quality. The employees were either slow and uninterested in doing their job, or not doing it at all and posting selfies on their personal cell phone instead. Only one emplpyee seemed capable of doing his job as he was busy making new donuts. Cashier said she had been there for a long time yet didn't know how to replace the receipt paper which caused a delay for everyone in line. The area where donuts were being made was filthy. Looks great on the outside of the building but once you walk inside, you want to leave.

I almost got arrested just for shopping at this store—let me tell you the story. A few days ago, a friend told me about the "Too Good To Go" app, so today I decided to buy a "surprise bag" here, at this store. And boy, did I get a surprise! The app indicated that I could pick up my surprise bag of donuts between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m., so I arrived at the store at 10:00 p.m. I walked in through the side door, which was open, and showed my order to the woman working there. She replied that she had no idea what that app was, that she didn't have any order under my name, and told me to leave or come back the next morning. I tried to explain the concept of the surprise bag to her a couple of times, but she kept telling me to come back tomorrow; at one point, she headed toward the back of the store. I thought she was going to go look for it... how naive I was in that moment! It turns out the woman had called the police, claiming that I was dangerous and had entered the store while it was closed. Consequently, two minutes later, the police were asking for my ID and frisking me... The officer, in fact, was very polite; he said to me, "This is all just a misunderstanding on the employee's part, sir." I had bought the surprise bag because tomorrow is Easter... and what a surprise it turned out to be! Gentlemen, train your employees on the services you offer; otherwise, stop using these apps. If that police officer had wanted to, he could have arrested me—all simply because the store employee felt like it. It is absolutely outrageous.

My husband, myself and son went to get doughnuts while on vacation for our entire family (we have 13) while vacationing at edisto island several dozens of doughnuts and had the worst experience ever with a krispy kreme!!!! We went thru the drive thru at 10:36 pm on Saturday march 28, 2026 to seeing employees inside standing at the doughnut icing rollers. Once they saw cars move in, they all ran to the back and ignored us all. There were more than 5 cars in a span of 15 minutes. I knocked on the drive thru window as some blew a horn. Nothing happens, no one came to the window and yet we all still got ignored. We drove 2 hours (one hour each direction) just for this disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. I had to rush to Harris teeter with less than 10 minutes left to get some pies. Not exactly how you want your vacation to go and to waste that much time and money especially with how high gas is, for absolutely nothing. What a shame and horrible way to operate a business. Very upset!! And yes I did file a complaint online!!
