Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. I had a paid for pickup that I was doing. The lobby was closed before 8pm so I got in the very long drive through line. When I finally got to the window, the worker accused me of cutting the drive thru line, which I most certainly didn’t do. I waited for over 20 minutes from the very back of the line until it was my turn at the window. The worker proceeded to yell at me for several minutes before calling a coworker to come yell at me through the window. The first employee simply told the second that I cut the line, and the second employee took the first’s side and started to tell me that I cut the line. A third employee came and also told me that I cut the line. I don’t come to McDonald’s to get ganged up on by three employees yelling at me and saying that I cut the line when I didn’t.
It gets worse. When I told the employees that I simply wanted my food and I wasn’t there to argue, they said that the food is not ready yet and that I would need to go to the back of the drive thru line. I told them I will wait at the window for my food to be prepared as I already waited in the line once and it wasn’t fair to demand me to wait in the line again for them not having my food ready. When I questioned them about this policy about having to go to the back of the drive thru line if the food isn’t ready, they said that this is a policy exclusively at that particular McDonald’s location so buyer beware if you are dining at the Savannah Highway McDonald’s. I asked them if they just make up policies at will and the worker affirmed that they do. If your food isn’t ready by the time you get to the drive thru window, they will make you go to the back of the drive thru line as per three different employees at the Savannah Highway McDonald’s.
It gets worse. When I stated that I don’t believe that it’s McDonald’s policy to send a paying client to the back of the drive thru line for an order that’s already been paid for, the screaming worker at the drive thru window threatened to call the police on me for being at McDonald’s drive thru window to collect an order that was already paid for. Several times she threatened to call the police. Finally, when I refused to leave after her multiple threats, she said “oh you ain’t leaving? okay. I got something for you.” She proceed to close the drive thru window to go retrieve the “something” that she was talking about. I felt that as a threat of danger to me and a potentially life threatening situation. This McDonald’s has employees who gang up on you, yell at you, say that you cut the line when you didn’t, threaten to call the police, create new policies on the fly about needing to go to the back of the the drive thru line for their incompetence. And if you’re strong enough to survive the onslaught of embarrassing behavior, they will make threats on your life.
Please avoid this McDonald’s at all cost. And to McDonald’s, please retrain the entire staff who worked on December 22, 2025 between 7:55pm-8:25pm. I can honestly say that I will NEVER again go back to any McDonald’s and I will spread the word in my community about the horrors that happen at that particular McDonald’s. And to the management above that store, I implore you to please review the surveillance footage from that night because the employee made a threat on my life, and also lied about me cutting the line. Nobody deserves to be treated that way.

The drive-thru was a masterclass in how not to treat customers. The employees were openly rude, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. No courtesy, no patience, no basic manners — just attitude, as if my presence was an inconvenience.
It’s honestly baffling that people paid to serve customers behave as though they resent having to do their jobs at all. The level of disrespect was so blatant that it reflects poorly on the entire business. Allowing this kind of behavior is not just a mistake — it’s embarrassing.
If this is the standard this location accepts, management has clearly failed. Either retrain this staff immediately or reconsider who is put in front of customers. This wasn’t a bad day or a minor issue — it was flat-out shameful.

This McDonald’s consistently closes their store/location at least 30min-1hr early. I know it can’t be because of demand, there’s plenty of us rolling up for service. As someone whose job requires me to work long hours, I’m limited at times on where I can grab a quick meal from. I used to be able to count on McD’s in a pinch, but not anymore. I hate writing this review because I spent 15 years in F&B, but I worked in a culture that didn’t turn down a customer until after closing time and closing time was normally after midnight for me. Staying open until the posted time of 10pm or 11pm isn’t asking much from a corporate franchise.
