A great addition to North Charleston's growing, diverse community.
I had dinner with a friend and we ordered the bilani (a warm hug), somasas (the red sauce is great!), and manto (plated so nicely!) apps. For dinner we had the lamb (me - would def order again!) and chicken (her - enjoyed!) kebabs, both with a side salad and a generous portion of the Zarashk (saffron) rice, which was perfectly toasted and seasoned (maybe a touch dry, leftovers will be perf with a drizzle of evoo). The market was well stocked with mostly Afghan-centered cuisine ingredients & seasonings, canned goods (like eggplant), nuts nuts nuts, and even clothing and decor. Oh! Plenty of Dubai chocolate bar brands to choose from, too!!
Friendly and attentive staff, and a welcoming atmosphere - I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Great place to eat! Recommend the lamb shank and the Mantos!
They have a store in there as well. I Also talk to the owner frequently and they are the nicest people ever.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love trying new food. The service was great, and the food was excellent. If you like Greek food, this is rather similar. I'll definitely be stopping by again.
The food was delicious, it was unique but also familiar and the service was fantastic.
My son was watching a video on my cell phone and had it propped up against the flower vase atthe center of the table. The phone continued the slip and fall over. The host noticed and without us asking he came to the table with his personal phone holder and allowed my son to use it.
It is this attention to detail and customer service that make this restaurant a 5 star destination if you are interested in trying somewhere new.
I have tried at least 30+ Afghan restaurants across America and this doesn't even get the 30th rank. No authenticity for Afghan flavor, or even any meaningful "good" flavor to the food. To top it off, the portion size is small and price is notably high for what you're getting. Suggest the restaurant change their chef to someone that actually knows what they're doing, or to stick to just being a grocery store.
