  The Boat House is my favorite restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, the service is consistently top notch. You will need a reservation, so definitely call ahead, but every experience here will be worth it for you. The service is very attentive and very pleasant. They dont rush you out. They give you the time you have paid for with your meal. The food is extremely fresh, and prepared perfectly. The pricing on most items is just a bit higher then you may expect to pay at Chillis or Applebee's, but only by a couple dollar's, which is surprising when you consider the extreamly higher quality of service and food you get. You will love it. If you fond yourself within the area of the Boathouse, make a reservation, and make the trip. At the end of your meal you will be planning your next visit!

  Very disappointed with our most recent visit . The crab cake which I always ordered in the past was significantly smaller . The prices have always been on the higher side but the food did not disappoint until today.

  We went on a Sunday afternoon for a birthday lunch. My husband ordered the ribeye. It had good flavor but was quite fatty, and was finitely not worth $60. He didn't want the sides it came with and ordered rice pilaf instead, and was charged an extra $4 for this. I had the shrimp chowder appetizer and it was delicious. My meal was Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was very fishy tasting but the lettuce was crispy and fresh. Overall it was an blah choice, that I would not get again. Our drinks were quite weak and disappointing. My gin martini was mostly vermouth. The total with tip came close to $200.

  Alway a pleasure to dine at the Boathouse. Food is consistently outstanding with innovative preparations. Staff is always attentive and provide outstanding service. Brought my sister here for the first time yesterday and she said it was one of the best dining experiences she has ever had. Our server Nate was outstanding.

  I typically love the Newport restaurant group. Unfortunately Boat House and Waterman Grille have not met expectations multiple times. Dinned at the Boat House on a Thursday night and ordered two 2 lbs. Baked stuffed lobsters. They came out looking beautiful. However looks were deceiving unfortunately. The vast majority of the dish was stuffing. Very little seafood in the stuffing and no tail meat to be found! For $90 a piece I expected much better. Drinks ranged from delicious to meh, salads lacked flavor, etc. i love the location, but unfortunately don't plan to return.
