Immediately, one of the glasses on the table was still dirty - there was a piece of some leaf and another food piece still stuck on. Already a bad impression. This was then followed by a very messy bowl of the Rhode Island clam chowder. You would think that in a more upscale fine seafood restaurant, the staff would’ve put more care in putting the soup in the bowl/delivering to table so that the soup wouldn’t splatter/slosh all over the sides. It was also not a lot of soup- probably because most of it spilled over the sides. Just a very messy appearance and embarrassing for me since that was the one thing my guest really wanted to eat. I had the lobster roll and it was extremely average. Not sure how this place had such high ratings but I wouldn’t recommend it.

We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and Mia spoiled both of us with impeccable service and complimentary gifts. My Oysters Hemingway were delicious. The Caesar salad dressing was terrific. But my dinner entree of scallops were the best I’ve ever had! My boyfriend’s steak was incredible, cooked perfectly and that sauce, perfection! Be sure to make a reservation and park in the garage.

Order tuna tartar, Oysters Hemenway (like Oysters Rockefeller)...oysters were a bit tiny. For desert I ordered a Baked Alaska...one of my all time favorites. Hemenways is always amazing. I highly recommend you come here, regardless of your group size or even when alone.
