  I have a serious food allergy to corn syrup and advised the server. She returned to my table and advised my meal did not have corn starch. I reminded her I am allergic to corn syrup. She never returned to the table to provide status if I could in fact eat the dish I ordered. A second server did deliver my food and I inquired if the dish contained corn syrup and he assured me I could eat the fried fish sandwich I ordered. I wish my server had let me know or if I needed to find an alternative meal. I would have given 5 stars. Otherwise the meal was delicious, the atmosphere perfect, and I always love coming him and being a loyal customer because on average they take great care of people with food allergies!

  We had an absolute blast at 22 Bowens! Izzy and I decided to come here last second on a Friday night and we were in for a treat. The moment we waked in, we knew this place was a great balance of class, but not overly classy, fine dining, but not anything more expensive than most of Newport. Upon entering, we saw a large amount of seating with beautiful decor, classic music, and soft lighting. The servers are dressed professionally and everyone is in a great mood. We were escorted upstairs to a heated balcony overlooking parts of Newport and it was Beautiful. The menu had a large selection of options. The restaurant is Al a Carte with things priced about what you would expect for the location. Cocktails are also priced similarly to everything else in Newport, 17-30$. Entrees are anywhere from 30 to 300$. The most expensive things of course have to deal with large seafood platters, imported steaks, etc. We started with a Dirty Martini and The Last Show Cocktail. The Martini was generously poured and the other cocktail, made with luxardo, chartreuse and gin, was delicious. As an appetizer, we had clams and oysters which were meaty and fresh. We moved on to the crab cakes which had a ton of lump crab meat in them. The Wagyu dumplings were next and they were good, just not worth their price in my opinion as the meat is obviously cooked too much for Wagyu. Either way, they’re still 7/10. We moved on to dinner and had the rack of lamb, truffle mac and truffle fries. The lamb was perfectly cooked medium rare and tender of course. Chimichurri was served on the side and was authentic. Truffle mac and truffle fries had a decent amount of truffle oil to get the right flavors but not be overwhelming. Everything totaled to about 340$ after tip for two people. But that was with 5 drinks, 3 apps, and dinner + 2 sides. Our server, Fabio, was awesome! He did a great job at providing recommendations for everything as well as great conversation. We loved it and plan to come back!

  GM, Our Newport Crew was there this past weekend even in the cold months (Just got out before the storm) 22 Bowen was superb Saturday night!! Atmosphere, Quality of food, Staff the overall experience, 5 stars... I would like to give a shout out Fabio our server, Mathew the manager, they were very professional & accommodating. We had two tables of 4 and enjoyed the entire evening... We spent the day at Gooseneck Vineyards & brought two bottles of Prosecco with us, everyone enjoyed the experience as well. The reason I am bringing this up, I think there is a real opportunity to support a local vineyard in the area which the customers would embrace & its a great story to tell. We come to Newport very often & enjoy our times at 22 Bowen inside & out. Great edition to the outside area. We will be back soon!! Keep up the outstanding job!! All The Best, Steve Slota

  Absolutely fantastic experience! I wish I remembered our servers name, but he was great. Service was super fast. Food was delicious. I came when they had Newport burger bender going on across the area and the Wagyu bacon burger they offered was out of this world!! Would love to come back again soon, perhaps outside dining when it's warmer out.

  The food is fantastic across the board—everything is fresh, perfectly prepared, and lives up to the restaurant's high reputation. Whether you're there for the local seafood or their signature cuts, the quality is top-tier. The service really makes the experience. The staff is incredibly professional and attentive, making you feel taken care of without being overbearing. They’re also great at navigating their massive wine list to find the perfect pairing. can't wait to go back !!!!!
