The cashier was most polite, however he couldn’t scan the bar code on the seafood salad container because it was placed at the crease of the plastic container, however the price was clearly marked on the top of the container. He instructed me to go back to the seafood department (the far side of the store) to get another container. I indicated that the price was marked on the top. He advised me his manager would not allow him to manually type in the price. I felt this was an imposition and suggested he call his manager over. I was informed that the manager was at the back of the store and it would be a wait. I instructed the cashier to cash me out, as to not hold up the line, so I could retrieve another container of salad, and come back to check out again. Unbelievable! I ordinarily would have forgone purchasing the item, however I live out of town and stopped on my way to pick up some items for my elderly mother who is in a local assisted living community. She has little to no appetite, however enjoys seafood salad, so I felt compelled to make this purchase. What ever happened to customer service? FYI: this is the first time I have ever written a negative review. Hopefully it’ll be my last.
