When we realized and called the restaurant shortly after, the person who answered was extremely rude—he started yelling that they were closed and abruptly hung up. The next morning, we went back to check if the phone had been found. The restaurant was closed, but the doors were open, so my wife stepped inside to look. Shockingly, the same person called the police on us. This was an incredibly unprofessional and disappointing experience. We expected at least a basic level of courtesy and understanding—especially considering we were trying to retrieve lost property. I would not recommend this place based on how we were treated.
