I was there April 10 at 7pm, they turned me away said no take out or dine in available, never heard of that before in my life it was my first time there I was excited to eat there because I heard it was good food, they have a bar area set up with stools and they told me I could not sit there and eat and had no tables available and told me I could not order nothing to go!! what type of restaurant is this turning down service as a new restaurant is unheard of I'm a black man trying to support my fellow black man but never again I'm taking my business to the white man period. OH one last thing it was like pulling a molar to get a menu from the new waitress and said it was her third day on the job it's like she was trying to talk me out of looking at the menu. WOW !!! this place is not ready for downtown business turning down customers, he will be out of business soon grand opening Grand closing

I’ve dined here numerous times, and each visit has been a great experience. The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes a big difference.
The food has consistently been on point. The lamb and lobster platter special running right now is phenomenal—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And the grilled salmon bites in MIK sauce are a must—I order them every single time I go!
I also want to note that many reviews you may see are based on DoorDash orders. Ordering through DoorDash versus dining in can be a completely different experience. With delivery, food sits and travels, which can affect quality no matter what restaurant it comes from.
If you really want to experience what this place has to offer, stop in and try it for yourself. I’m confident you’ll end up revising your statements.

I tried to support but spending $156 on door dash the tenders were burnt the portions for a kids meal is crazy it’s tenders and fries. The greens were old with no seasoning but just minced garlic. The Baked Mac looked like it was made with a mixture to stuff crabs it was so bad like a cream cheese filling 😠. The wings were half fried. With the amount of money I spent to just cook anyways is an insult and not to be able to eat it was an extra insult. Idk if it was the transition or not but all money is good money. The fries were good. My kids loved the half and half but I really tried to support. To waste the type of money is wild. Then no response no refund do better…..

So I've had dinner here once before and enjoyed it so I wanted to try their brunch. Some things were a hit, and some things, not so much. First off I ordered a sweet tea thinking it was going to be like a southern style sweet tea. Well the waitress should have called it sweetened tea because it definitely wasn't southern style sweet tea. Rather it tasted like Lipton or Nestlé fountain tea or something made from a powder. For an appetizer we ordered the apple pie egg rolls, these were very good but literally came to the table 30 seconds before our mains showed up. Next up was the build your own omelet. This looked really good and my father in law said it was good. Next up was the stuffed french toast with strawberries and cream cheese. Again, this looked really good and my mother in-law said it was really good, she cleaned her plate. Now to the not so great. My wife and son both had the chicken and waffles. Both said the cornbread waffle was really good but the fried chicken wings that came with it were over fried. You could actually see where spots in the breading were almost black from frying to long. Lastly, the shrimp and grits I had. To be fair, the last time I shrimp and grits was when I was in SC and they were perfection, so these had some competition. The 4 shrimp on the grits were good but a little over cooked and not that big, I would have love some more shrimp on it and maybe poached in butter. The grits were cheesy but they were not as creamy and flavorful as I would have liked. They ended up stiffing up as they cooled and got pretty thick. They had a good cheese flavor but were just missing that shrimp flavor that maybe using the poached shrimp butter might have added. I'll definitely be back for dinner again but I'm not sure about brunch.

The atmosphere was a vibe, good music and scenery. Restaurant was not busy only 3 other tables there when I arrived. The menu looked amazing and I wanted to order everything. Server was not very attentive needed drink refills which was slow as we waited some time to receive our meal. We had the crab and shrimp egg rolls which had a slight kick to it but was also paired with a spicy sauce topping. I personally was not a fan of the sauce and felt that sweet and sour sauce would have paired wonderfully with it. Then came the meal which was the ravioli and salmon which was completely over taken by the sauce. It was like sauce over kill. The salmon was good and thats about it. Then we got the Mac and cheese and crab meat. The menu description did not match what we received. It should tell you what kind of bread it comes in other wise it’s to be assumed it’s just Mac and cheese and crab meat. We also received a side of Mac and cheese which was ok. Sweet potato fries for 7$ were very small. Sweet potatoes were very good however my daughter said it would have been better topped with melted marshmallows.
Service was slow, never asked for drink refills, never asked if our meal tasted ok, slow in checking out, and never thanked us for coming in. I still tipped 20% because I am a server as well and gave some grace as I know they just opened BUT not really a place I would spend my money on again and we eat out a lot.
