At 9:32 PM, checkout lane 15 was open, as well as lane 16.
I approached lane 15, where a female cashier was playing on her phone. She completely ignored me while I placed my groceries on the belt. She was clearly trying to finish her game instead of doing her job.
I put all my items back into the cart and moved to lane 16, where a male cashier was standing. He was extremely unfriendly. His facial expression made it clear that he did not want to be there at all. A simple “hello” or “how are you” was clearly not part of the experience in this store.
He scanned all my items and then stood there watching while I packed everything myself, without any assistance or basic courtesy.
This raises a serious question for management:
Do you actually monitor how your employees work?
Or are they treating this place like a free hangout rather than a workplace?
My total was $141, and with service like this, it feels absolutely unacceptable. If you are not providing proper training to your staff, this is a direct reflection of management failure.
It looks like these are people standing behind the register not because they want to provide service, but simply because life forced them to be there. Is this unpaid work? Because that’s exactly how it feels.
Shame on this store.
I will never shop here again. From now on, only Whole Foods — and this is not advertising, it is a fact.
Your prices may be good, but the way your employees treat customers is a disgrace.
Check your security cameras if you doubt this.
Thank God social media exists, and I can show my audience — which is close to one million followers — how customers are treated in a store in Philadelphia.
I paid $141, and for me that amount is not a problem — I barely bought anything.
Again, prices are fine. The service is not.
This is unacceptable.

Now charging $.15 per paper bag (used to be free) and most of the bags ripped before I even got them inside. Only self checkout lanes were open. This place is getting GREEDY
