When I checked, I was told it was made with bananas, peanut butter, ice, and sugar. I asked, “Sugar? Is it raw sugar?” and the young lady hesitated before saying yes. I was a bit surprised because I didn’t realize sugar was added to their smoothies. Still, I was craving that peanut butter smoothie I’d enjoyed before — it was so good last time — so I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, when I got to my car and drove off, I took a sip, it wasn’t as creamy as I remembered. It was very icy, and I could actually taste the sugar granules. I didn’t feel like driving back, but I have to say, this experience was highly disappointing compared to my past visits. I hope next time the quality and consistency are closer to what I’ve come to expect from Tropical Smoothie. 🥲
