Giant is just lucky the Customer Service Desk people are so excellent to make up for their systemic shortcomings. Today I was overcharged 36% purely due to their system, and this is occurring quite often (usually not so egregiously) as of late. How many customers DON'T check their receipts and just trust Giant to add it up correctly? I'd like to think that it's attributable to simple laziness or oversight, but since it almost always results in excess profit for "The House," there's not a lot of motivation to fix it. For a LONG time Giant continuously made mistakes on the checkout charges - primarily NOT taking off the sales or digital App discounts - usually resulting in savings from $2 to $20. Then, back in 2024 some initiative went thru that involved some kind of IT/system overhaul that actually resulted in such mistakes becoming rare. BUT NOT ANY MORE. Details just today: Today, the St. Patrick's Day Coupon for Corned Beef Brisket did not register in at $2.98/lb as advertised, nor did the (somehow NOT advertised in their circular) Giant App price of $1.98/lb - How many holiday customers overpaid 'cuz they didn't look, do you think? How many would be VERY disappointed to know they can't trust Giant's systems? The coupon for green grapes didn't work either even though it was selected on my phone in the Giant App. An overcharge of $17.27 on a bill that should have been $47.56??? Examples in one month: - Missed the sale price on Planter's Cashews on Mar 11 - Overcharged for bulk orange sale the time before that - Grape sale missed plus checkout person mistake on onion type doubled the price on Feb 25 - $6.16 - Missed sale price of Rotisserie Chicken (which should be old hat by now) and Soft Soap Refill price was not what was labeled on Feb 19 - Overcharged for chips on sale and Baked Chicken for another $6 on Feb 12 How is this happening? And SO OFTEN? ---------- My experience is primarily at the Wyomissing, PA location although I imagine they all use the same system. Redeeming Areas - Employees are generally great. - Good Presentation and Clean, a step up from a number of other stores, although a few have been raising their game lately. - Good Produce, decent Meat and Bakery - Pretty good product selection, but impacted by what's noted below. Other Areas of Note Value...or lack thereof - Prices have been raised / volume lowered at a prodigious rate. Prices, for example: Fresh muffins are 100% more than they were not that many years ago (were $3 I believe); they went from $4 in March 2020 to $6 now - inflation would only have them at $5.03. Competition has them at $4.99 (Redner's) and as low as $4.49 at Target. That's par for the course across numerous items. Shrinkflation: The $4.99 Sticky Fingers BBQ sauce went from 18 oz (two weeks ago) down to 15.9 oz today - same exorbitant price. Giant rotisserie chicken was a great "loss leader" draw, but the regular price went up much more like college tuition than normal inflation. Same with other in-house items like Bakery cookies - one would think they're made by actual elves paid Major League Baseball wages. Another example from today - Giant lists Thomas' English Muffins at some absurd ~$5.69 price per six-pack with BOGO sales to keep people interested. But after a couple weeks of waiting for that, I just had to buy the Blueberry flavor (not in stock at Giant, of course) today from Target at their REGULAR price of $3.69 Selection - Mystifying sometimes. E.g. Giant couldn't get their head out of their butts on Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk It's a running joke with many people who shop there, that as soon as you begin to like a certain product, Giant will make it disappear for a time, if not permanently.

Very rude worker told me that I should know where everything is at since I DoorDash. I never been to this store and it’ll be not only the first but the last. Be ware of the purple hair lady in this store she’s very disrespectful.
