Atmosphere was the best in this visit, being a casual burger joint. I order a burger all the way, except for two items. Either the cahier didn't hear me or didn't comprehend, and proceeded to repeat what "all the way" meant. After finishing, I patiently repeated my order all the way, but with no mayo or grilled onion. I've ordered the burger this way for years & was never told that I couldn't customize. In my opinion, it makes the burger exceedingly sloppy. Unfortunately, I received both items which I mentioned twice to leave off, so this is the reason for the one star. The fries were excellent as always & the food category would've scored higher if not for the burger.

Good, but still too expensive for a plain burger.

Yesterday on Jan 21, around 9PM, I ordered food from Five Guys. As expected, the food was expensive. $50 for one drink, one milkshake, two fries (one large, one small), and two burgers (one with mushrooms). The price was higher than expected, but Five Guys has great food, and that stood true for this visit. The problem with the visit was the young man at the register who, upon my asking for a small cup for water, he said, "We don't have cups for that." I have never experienced such poor hospitality. He seemed more than glad to say, "No," then handed me a watery milkshake with no whip cream. Aftet that, (last but definitely not least) he handed me my bag of food, and I quickly realized I had been given less fries than I would have at any other Five Guys when ordering (just) a small. He filled two small paper bags, one slightly smaller than the other, and contrary to Five Guys 'Famous' Fry policy, he gave no more than that (no extra scoop of fries). Just two small paper bags the size of small stationary card envelopes. This was terribly upsetting and I will not be returning to this Five Guys. I have only once before been denied water at an establishment (and this includes establishments where I didn't purchase anything and just went in for water), and the other time I was denied was by a rude manager during COVID 19 at some mom and pap shop on Long Island (where I grew up), where I (also) purchased food, and the "reason" she denied me and my grandmother water is because (and these are the manager's words) they didn't have cups. That was terrible service as well, but this young man without-a-doubt had cups--he gave me one with my milkshake and another for my girlfriend's soft drink. There are other Five Guys, and although I'm hesitant to return to any of them in the area (afraid this poor hospitality might reflect Malvern-area Five Guys altogether), if/when I do go back, I will NOT be returning to this one in particular. Thank you, Alec.
