My daughter and I are from out of town, and she really wanted some rice and beans. We were really looking forward to a good Mexican meal, but unfortunately, this place just didn’t meet our expectations. The Mexican rice tasted like the kind you buy in a box, and it just didn’t have the homemade flavor we were hoping for. My daughter was super hungry so she mixed it with her Beans ate what she could.
The salsa was also a letdown. It didn’t have much flavor or any of that fresh taste and spice we usually look forward to. When the salsa isn’t good, it’s tough to feel excited about the rest of the food.
The fried ice cream was probably the biggest disappointment. The tortilla shell was burnt and tasted bitter, and the ice cream inside was icy and just didn’t taste fresh. We were really hoping for that warm, crispy outside and creamy inside, but it just didn’t come together the way we expected. You know the ice cream is bad when a kid won't eat it.
When it comes to the ice cream, we brought it up to our waitress. Instead of apologizing and offering a solution, perhaps a new one, or removing the item from our bill, they first offered us a $1 off our bill. Instead of management coming to our table, we had to travel to the bar to find her to try to get a better solution. Still no apologies. Told me maybe the cinnamon on the shell was what the burnt taste was. Definitely not. The ice cream we were told was fine because all the rest in the freezer looked fine. In the end, we were offered 3.50 off an ice that was inedible. They claimed that we ate more than half, but it was far from it
I've been in the restaurant business for 20 years, and no manager I have ever worked with would have worked so hard going back and forth with a guest to avoid having to refund $6.00.
Yes $6.00 isn't much, and I definitely could have just paid it and been on my way, but my daughter really wanted that ice cream, and for her not to want to take more than 2 bites really tells you something.
I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they start using fresher ingredients and make authentic food.

Olivia lo hace mejor.
Music popping and her happy energy immediately transported me to the sol. El Norteño was best ever. And all the sides were hot and to perfection.
Buen Provecho Amigos.

Awful experience! We drove 45 minutes to have dinner here for my mom's birthday. We arrived and were greeted by a young girl with no personality and no friendliness, as if we were bothering her. We were taken to our seat and provided chips and salsa. We then proceeded to sit there for 15-20 minutes while every single "waitress" working AND the host, walked around the restaurant chit chatting and cleaning the 2 tables that were dirty. They all made eye contact with us multiple times and saw we had no drinks, menus still, and no service. After waiting for 20 minutes and having every waitress look at us and not serve us or ask if we have been served, we decided we would leave. I went to the bar and told the bartender and waitress (who were talking), that we had been sitting there for 20 minutes, they said "Oh, sorry we will be right there", I advised the waitress and bartender that we were leaving and did not wish to eat there and the waitress said, "She told me about you but I forgot." No...you did not. You made eye contact with us 5 times, and walked the other way each time. Nobody cared, and the 4 tables that were in our section all knew we weren't getting served because they all kept looking at us. I will never step foot in this establishment again. To whomever owns it, your staff is in dire need of training. They need to learn how to serve their guests and acknowledge when a mistake is made. Nobody cared that we sat there for 20 minutes and we got no real apology. I'm disgusted and my mom is upset as well. Her birthday dinner was ruined by your establishment and lack of good staff.
