- JJJillMar 25, 20261.0I'm a relatively patient person when it comes to "fast food" service, and I'm not going to interrupt someone while they're in the middle of making food for someone else, an online order, or whatever it may be. I do, however, I want you to acknowledge that I'm standing in your store, waiting to be served, and to not ignore me for 15 minutes until you're actually ready to help me. Like I genuinely don't mind waiting, but I would really like for someone to say "I'll be with you in a second," or "sorry, we're really busy I'll be with you as soon as I can." Or literally ANYTHING along those lines. No problem, I get you're busy, I can wait, but let me know! It's like he was hoping if he ignored me I'd go away. I had invested enough time standing there, and didn't have the time to go somewhere else, but I would have gone to get food elsewhere if I had more time on my lunch break. I work in customer service. It's not hard to acknowledge your customer, even if you have to let them know it'll be a moment. That's all. They won't have to drop what they're doing to help me, just say something!! Idk what it is with my generation of workers (I'm in my twenties) but someone needs to train them to speak to people if they work in customer service.
