Absolutely loved Kavsár! The food was incredibly flavorful, authentically prepared, and truly unforgettable. The cozy atmosphere paired with attentive service made the entire experience even more special. We especially enjoyed the Olivier Salad, fresh bread, Nuhot Shurak, and tea - each dish was outstanding. Honestly, I’d love to come back and try every item on the menu. Exceptional food all around!

I arrived at this restaurant with low expectations, but I was thoroughly impressed. The dining experience was elite, the atmosphere was the best i’ve ever had, our conversations flowed, and and 2 hours had passed like 2 minutes. The food came hot and looked amazing! The five of us ate all of our meals quickly, as the food was delectable. Overall a top tier dining experience! 😋😋😋
Found this little hole in the wall from one of our friends. The atmosphere was welcoming and calming. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The decorations really makes it feel like you’re in a Georgian restaurant. Would absolutely recommend it for anyone passing by and wants to try something new.
Ordered plov, bread boat and lagman. All delicious. Forgot to take pics and demolished it all. Bread boat is large and can be an entree for an individual and heavy. But tasty. Plov Rice is flavorful, beef pieces tender and cooked well. Lagman sauce is flavorful and the saltiest of the three dishes. But still good. Noodles seem to be hand made, knife cut noodles. The fluffy softness of the noodles appears to be from potato ingredients. The beef parts in the lagman were cut quite thin and a little tough/overcooked, but still passable.

I had never tried Uzbek cuisine or anything similar, but I absolutely fell in love with everything I tried at Kavsar. A friend and I first visited on a Friday night; she ordered the potato and cheese bread boat and beef stroganoff, I had the chuchvara soup and vareniki. Easily ranks in the top three meals I've ever had in my life. The flavors were rich but not overwhelming, and everything managed to be filling without being too heavy. Then we wrapped everything up with the Russian honey cake (I believe it is commonly called medovik). When I tell you it's the best thing I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth, it's not an exaggeration.
We ended up coming back the next night too. This time we got the beef and cheese bread boat, Russian cutlets (beef), Uzbek bread, borsch, and chicken stroganoff. Again, everything was fantastic. The borsch was perfectly savory and filling and the bread was unlike any I've had before. And to top it all off, we took two pieces of Russian honey cake to-go.
Both nights we had the same server. She was very attentive and made us feel comfortable asking questions. The atmosphere inside was very nice and would make a good date-night spot. If I'm ever back in Pittsburgh, I know where my first stop is going to be.
